I have done quite extensive research on the contrasting beliefs of creation and evolution… It seems to me that knowledge or a system of knowledge covering general truths or the operation of general laws especially as obtained and tested through scientific method are utilized in both, but both also rely heavily on ‘faith’ in the starting mechanism and the driver or entergizer of said mechanism. Due to the fact they both require ‘faith’ in a theory that is unobservable, they quite frankly are both ‘religeons.’

I recently checked out Expelled the movie and the contrasting website http://www.expelledexposed.com and the former has more merit in actual scientific inquiry and asking the tough questions than the latter. In my humble opinion Expelled rightly asks the question why one possible answer is not taught as an option to the other possible answer to the origin of life.

actually the Dawkins segment was not edited much — at least in the early cut I saw before it came out. Dawkins still looked like a douche who would believe in aliens before God — his right obviously — but still faith.

That being said… Expelled overplayed the Holocaust way too much. It’s a lot less dishonest than any of the Sundance liberal bs jobs that get released via tax favored non-profits each year.

everyone loved Stein as long as he stayed remained as Ferris Bueller’s teacher and the host of “Win Ben Stein’s Money.”

then he started appearing on Glenn Beck’s TV show, back during Beck’s CNN days.

couple years ago he did that “Expelled” movie and he seems to have been on the back burner of everyone ever since, I haven’t seen it so I can’t say whether it’s a kooky movie or not. I’ve seen one clip where he does nail Richard Dawkins.

well…..that’s my theory, and I’m not necessarily sticking to it.

Hm. This may have been bubbling up over time. Although his reasoning behind suspecting the official line of his firing to be false rings true. What probably happened was that there many uncomfortable with him at the Times, and some key defender of his was shifted from a position or let go and gaves someone else the opportunity to drop the hammer.
