OMG! I had all of the Johnny West toys! OMG that is so cool. Oh man…now that brings back memories. Kids have no idea what they are missing. I had Gen. Custer, Johnny, Jane, her sister or neice, Geronimo, and Sitting Bull, Pat Garrett and Black Bart and all the horses. And a wagon. Dang! My neice had Barbie, and I hung out at the corral!
I didn’t have the Johnny West stuff, but I had the Lone Ranger and Tonto. Then there were the Big Jim figures and the Mego DC and Marvel superheroes, Star Trek, and Planet of the Apes stuff. My Evel Knievel figure is most likely still stuck in the insulation of the unfinished basement ceiling in the home we had in Maine, in the late 70s. I threw it up in the air and it never came down. That old fiberglass insulation made you itch if you touched it without gloves so I never bothered trying to look for it.
My sister and I had all of the Johnny West and Chief Cherokee stuff…we used to get them together with GI Joe and Barbie.Great fun!
Now THIS is a cool commercial –

Unfortunately, I only had the bearded GI Joes (with kung foo grip.) That was kind of the beginning of the “internationalization” of GI Joe.
Up here, in Oregon, we had a sporting goods store called “GI Joes” they’ve since changed their name to just Joes. Welcome to Or-E-gone.

Now you’re making me nostalgic for the Kiss Alive II record I had when I was a kid.
OK I had an Evil Kenival doll and a 6 million dollar woman doll and you could fix her arm and stuff.
