President Obama making those old enough suffer less-than-pleasant flashbacks to Jimmy Carter’s presidential years (those too young, please just play along)? Feeling Comrade Putin flex that Soviet Russian muscle a little too much? Wanna hearken back to a time when Red Dawn didn’t involve Tom Cruise’s kid in the cast? Well, Ronco and K-Tell won’t bring ‘em too ya, but in association with Radio Free Threedonia, we’re here to help. Enjoy and since there’re tons more, please be for to adding your favorite …
h/t – Republibot 3.0 reminding me how great that bass line is on “Two Tribes”
I was looking for Prince’s “Ronnie Talk to Russia,” but no luck. Never heard this big ol’ ball of cheese, but can’t resist, in keeping the motif…

I am 19 and was born right before the Berlin Wall fell.
Hm. All the videos are showing up as big blank spots, so I can’t tell if you used this one or not, but might I humbly suggest Gary O’s “Shades of ’45″

I also get big blank spots.
As long as we are talking about Cold War classics I will move the conversation slightly to what I refer to as “Reagan’s Hollywood” which is of course when they were on our side. Does anyone other than me remember the outstanding “America Under Siege”? I would love to get my hands on this but the PC police have squashed it since the terrorist in there were…Islamic fanatics…the horror. It came out around 85 or 86 I beleive.
America Under Siege getting the same treatment as The Path to 9/11. Shocka.
As for the videos, I’m seeing the embeds. Oh, Flooooooooyd, please come to our tech rescue.
It turns out to be very difficult to find info on the Under Siege mini-series but I found this of all places on an Arkansas website (apparently it was filmed there).

The gist is Iranian terrorist were using airplanes and truck bombs to attack the US. Imagine that.
You forgot (or maybe you didn’t)) Sting’s insipid “I hope the Russians love their children too” Another reason (besides being one of the reasons The Police dissolved) to dislike that tantric bastard.
It was omitted on purpose. I took one for the team when video searching and didn’t want that POS getting stuck in anyone else’s head. Fortunately, AC/DC cured all.
