Apparently it took only one fisking by Wof Blitzer & the CNN crowd to scare Lorne Michaels.
Tonight’s cold opening had Fred Armisen as Obama admitting “I won it [the Nobel] for not being George W. Bush.” to loud applause and cheering.
Then he went on to announce he’d won the PowerBall.
Not funny.
Pathetic, in fact.
I doubt that this joke will be on CNN’s radar this week. But then, I was wrong last week, when I assumed that no news organization would fact-check a piece of satire.

Only one week and back to business as usual. Little longer than I think any of us ’round here expected.
Maybe CNN can invite the kids back and lead songs on the glories of SNL.
Too bad CNN wasn’t around to fact check Chevy Chases’s lampooning of Gerald Ford. Ford had his problems but it’s always bothered me that most people think he was a clumsy buffoon. Chase does a couple of prat falls and people thereafter think of Ford as a stumbling oaf. Ford may have been the best athlete to be POTUS.
I’m not surprised SNL didn’t have the onions to really send up Obama. I feel sorry for Wankette having to watch the program. Poor dear!
