I have no pics on my phone to post so have at it!

I’m a little tired of all of these ethnic heritage months. Am I not wrong in thinking that it is the very definition of racism to place one ethnic group above all others? There is no way the government should be sanctioning this sort of idiotic behavior.

    • I’m still upset nobody in the lamestream media acknowledged Mark Sanchez leading the Jets to a 3-0 start, something no rookie QB, let alone one of Hispanic descent, had ever accomplished. Oh well, though. As the Hispanic Heritage Month celebration laps from September in October, there’s still time for him to do something else noteworthy.

Pursuit of Honor is out….today..chapter 50 according to Glenn Beck and Mr. El-Rusbo is fantastic. Whats worse, beating the hell out of a terrorist bent on killing innocent people or sticking a spike in an innocent unborn babies head? :)

“Whats worse, beating the hell out of a terrorist bent on killing innocent people or sticking a spike in an innocent unborn babies head?”

Simple, beating the hell out of a freedom-fighter bent on giving power to the powerless.

That above question won’t be that hard to understand or answer…I hope….;)

The societal sycophants that promote these types of things are not true multiculturalists. They are faux multiculturalist because they refuse to discuss the weaknesses of different cultures. Mark Steyn takes these people on in America Alone. A true multiculturalist can actually explain why some cultures are superior to others. Cultural relativism was the death knell of true multiculturalism.

Has anyone else heard of an upcoming movie called Pirate Radio? It’s apparently about how the British government shut down all private radio stations (trying to force everyone to listen to BBC, natch) and how a group of free-market rebels, led by an American DJ, started an “illegal” rock station.

Seems like something a rock-loving conservative like me can love, and one of the few movies I’m actually looking forward to. I hope Big Hollywood mentions it soon.

    Here’s the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRh1-cyWfGQ

Ha,ha,Stephanie..those first 3 are your classic “talk conservative, vote liberal”….the good news is that Blanche Lincoln has a conservative Democrat challenging her,and she is running scared

    • Stephanie

Blanche Lincoln voted for the Bill dude. She changed her tune. Apparently her constituents are less important to her than kissing Obama’s ass.

  • In theory I like Multiculturalism. It’s what allows a kraut to marry a Cherokee while speaking English and discussing Greek mythology over Thai food. That’s great stuff. I mean, hell, only in America, right? We’re already swimming in a more multicultural nation than any other country in the world, excepting maybe Canada. This is a good thing, this work-a-day “You’re soaking in it” multiculturalism, where you date girls because you find them pleasing aesthetically, and not because of who won what battle in what rag-ass long-defunct kingdom in the land beyond the hoobijoobs.

And I’m not even saying it couldn’t be a little better, because it could. There’s room for improvement. There’s even a bit that the government can do, but only a little bit. (For instance, how about a tax credit for people who mary and have kids outside of their own race? That’d help speed us on our way to being the mellow coffee color that is kind of appealing, anyway )

But on the other hand, much – probably most – of what remains to be done is on a personal level. People need to build friendships and relationships with other races, and on the whole this is exactly what educated people do – I don’t personally know anyone with a college degree who thinks trash about Black people or Jews, or wouldn’t have a Hindu over for dinner – but I do know lots and lots and lots and lots of ignorant people who are filled with hate for everyone that doesn’t look like them.

Ergo: the problem is ignorance, right?

But rather than fix that, the federal government gives imaginary commemorative months. “Oh, sorry about that whole 400 years of slavery thing, but here’s a few random days on the callendar when we’ll all talk about Motown and ignore the real issues at hand.”

Yeah, that’ll make it all better.

Here in TN Columbus Day is the day after Thanksgiving,so the deadbeats who work for the state can have 4 days off

  • Veruckt

    Bot,

Tell me you’re kidding about the tax credit for marrying outside of your race. I’m pretty sure that is a sort of ethnic cleansing.

  • Veruckt

Not surprisingly the Senate Finance commitee gave a yes vote on the Baucus bill.

  • porkchop

i’m a mixed race (black and white) person. fwiw. Why should anyone *want* to marry outside of their race? “Oh, honey, I married you because I love you, kind of,(and now I can get rid of some of that pesky white guilt).” My mother has that attitude sometimes, but she can feel whatever she wants because she’s my mother. I hate it when people say “interracial people are so beautiful.” Bull. I know some pretty ugly ones. If you marry someone inside your race, you’re not doing exactly what “educated people” do? And kill me now, I would rather shave off my left nipple than endure the cheesy self-congratulatory conversations of a kraut married to a Cherokee while speaking English and discussing Greek mythology over Thai food. I don’t think “People need to build friendships and relationships with other races” because this is code for white people need to build friendships with other races. “people” don’t need to build friendships with anyone. They can if they think it’s worthwhile.

    • Floyd

porkchop… I agree… Color — or race for that matter — has no inherent moral virtue (just as it’s not evil) — it’s aesthetic. Halle Berry is beautiful… I’m sure her mixed-race parentage affects that physiologically skin tone, hair type, etc., but she is beautiful because of how she looks not inherently because she’s mixed race.

    • Porkchop,
Wow. Thanks for contributing this. VERY thought-provoking.

  • Stephanie

Hey guys, did ya’ll who watched the game last night notice Chris Berman’s suit? He was wearing an American Flag pin, and a Limbaugh tie…big middle finger to the a-holes trying to block Rush from being part of the group buying the Rams? Hmmmmmmmmmmm I thought it was very interesting.

So AstroBoy is a commie now. Didn’t see that coming:

    • Jake Was Here

According to Movie Bob (who is, to give him credit, at least a tuned-in guy in regard to Japanese culture), the “Communists” in the Astro Boy film are a small group of head-firmly-up-ass loudmouth activists who are really only in the movie to serve as the butt of comic relief, at the hands of heroes and villains alike; he compares them to the Judean People’s Front from The Life of Brian.

  • Kit

Okay, now that one of the Healthcare bills has passed committee, are we f$#ked?

  • David Marcoe

No. It’s a next to meaningless vote, as it will look nothing like the final bill; its still has to be reconciled with ha second bill from another Senate committee. Then, of course, you have the House. It would have been preferable if it hadn’t, but this is only the first shot in another battle of this long campaign.

  • @ Veruckt: Yes, obviously, I was joking. Well, not so obviously, I guess I could have phrased that better. I don’t think it would count as ‘ethnic clensing,’ however, more like deliberate ethnic-dirtying.

@ Porkchop: Sorry my life offends you. I didn’t say that ‘educated people’ marry outside their races. I said that educated people tend to be less racist than uneducated ones, and that if one wants an end to racism, then the government can do so much, but beyond that it’s pretty much down to the individual. Probably I could have phrased that better, probably shouldn’t have included it in the same posting with my ill-considered tax credit joke, in fact there’s really a whole hell of a lot in that posting that I probably should have thought throuh before I hit “submit,” but I…well, nothing really to say beyond that, I guess.

When I was a kid here in SoCal, I was of course a big Rams fan. Then Georgia murdered her husband, ruined the team (Joe Namath,)poisoned the fan base, and scarpered for St. Louis. I started hating the Rams while they were still here, and have ever since. Now there is hope. If Rush buys the Fucking Chumps, as they are known now, they will become my team again.
As icing on the cake, my sister-in-law and her boyfriend, both college communists of the deepest dye, are Rams fans now, and this will cause them great anguish, which is all to the good. I told her I really could understand her pain, it is how I would fell if Michael Moore bought the Lakers.
