There's three kinds of music videos: the "Concept" video which tells a story, the "Performance" video where they jump around on stage and pretend to play, and then there's the "Posing" kind of video, which is basically just a bunch of interesting shots of the singer and/or band in interesting lighting and interesting clothes and stuff. These are mostly just random dramatic and/or memorable images. It's no more or less comprehensible than a woman's fashion magazine. So what's not to get? (BTW, Helm, totally agree: Part of the reason I've continued to love They Might Be Giants is that they generally avoid cliched crap like love songs) I don’t get what it is that you guys don’t get.
