I’m not a big fan of C&W music, but I think it is impossible to grow up in Texas and not be exposed to it. There are bands like Poco and Eagles that were heavily influenced by Country Music. Anyway there is a song that expresses some of what I feel every time I think of home, and while I am certainly not in London (I think that would be a darn site better than Iraq) I enjoy and “feel” this song.
For all you displaced Texans out there…

“Poco?!” First azaleas and now Poco? You, Sir, are in major need of a conjugal visit or three.
I could knit you a cozy!
Oh come on, Poco had a couple of songs worth listening to.
This from the man who makes fun of my Hall and Oates crush.
I think you’re thinking of Little River Band. That’s right, I said it.
Little River Band, there’s a blast from the past. “Help is on it’s Way”, “Cool Change” and “Lady” (not the Styx version).
I want proof…I don’t believe I ever said anything to you about Hall and Oates. In fact “Out of Touch” is on my I-Tunes. Some of my best friends are Hall and Oates fans.
Friendliest people and prettiest women you’ve ever seen. Speakin’ the truth! There’s a tear in my beer…
