I make no comment except that the police officer who laid low the Fort Hood shooter was 1) a civilian, 2) a woman, and 3) wounded three times in the process.

Brilliant again. I always tell people that I believe law enforcement should be the sole responsibility of the police. However, the police are not everywhere. If someone walks into a classroom, or wherever, the people must be able to make quick decisions and protect themselves. If someone comes into my house at night I will kill them, to suggest that I should cede my personal security to the police at all times is insane.
