Since there’s no Open Thread today, this is as good a place as any to mention this. As if more proof is needed that my hometown of ultra-liberal Seattle is completely screwy:
On Halloween night, a Seattle police officer was murdered in a drive-by shooting as he sat in his car. While in most cities the citizens would grieve for the man and extend condolences to his family, here a local heavy metal band responded by making and selling T-shirts celebrating his death. Take a look at this article describing the t-shirt and what the lead singer said about the cop’s murder; it will make your blood boil.
Safer streets? Ohhhhhhh-K there, tough guy. Gotta love white kids who think just ’cause they name-drop Boyz ‘n the Hood and quote “Fight the Power” they’re tougher than black leather.
