4. Like many others on this post, I’ve been very grateful to be a part of Threedonia. You guys make this site a great place to hang out, and an endless source of fun and political/philosophical sanity for me, so thanks for that.

3. Having the ability and means to travel. Despite being out of work for a while, I’ve been lucky enough to see Alaska and a number of other places this year, and it’s great to be reminded of what a beautiful and diverse country we live in.

2. Tea Party protesters. How great is it to see so many people standing up for what this country is supposed to be about? And how funny is it to see leftists, with a straight face, act like they’re against political protests all of a sudden? I visited Las Vegas over the weekend, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the Vegas Strip filled with anti-Obamacare protesters. I’m not big into protesting myself, but I had to give them all high-fives as I passed by.

1. My beautiful, amazing, saint of a wife. We had our one-year anniversary a few months ago, and I still can’t believe how lucky I am.

5. Spandau Ballet’s reformation (Please tour Asia and come to the Philippines!)

4. Getting hired to tutor a new student who actually knows his stuff, which means earning extra money as well as meeting an adorable little boy

3. My personal library, which is so big that I can save money by rereading old stuff and still get that “new book” thrill

1. All the years I have had with my grandfather, who just turned eighty years old and is starting to scare my family by talking about his own death

Livin’ in the USA – a little over half the country perplexed and pissed me off last November, but less than year later, many more in this greatest of nations rising to the occasion to let the true spirit of this country be known.
James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles – best pimp & ho’ combo since Chuck, Billy Blaze and Belinda, much more worthwhile cause, too.
Andrew Breitbart – sure it’d be nice to have emails returned, but no love lost as he’s slightly busy leading the cultural war like no other on the right.
Rep. Thaddeus McCotter – the future of the GOP, at least I sure as hell hope so.
Rufus, Floyd and Chuckie Kane – you guys have given us a most righteous home here at Threedonia (and Radio Free Threedonia) and I can’t thank you enough for allowing me (and others) the opportunities to contribute.

the ability to bear children

enough income to keep them fed and clothed and generally spoiled with more material things than they need.

the fact that God uses all things for good. I used to get really mad at people who shared that with me while grieving, but it doesn’t change the truth of it. In my own life death, suicide attempt, abuse, addiction (not my own), and mental illness, have all been used as instruments of blessing and grace. Now that’s recycling.
