We’re already working on plans to derail it. We have to fight.
Note that, as usual, Holy Joe Lieberman voted the Dem party line. He always does this on anything domestic. So tell me again why is considered a friend to conservatives. (I know he differs with his party on some foreign policy issues. Big deal.)
Politico: Democrats hold line for vote, but cracks show
“Senate Democrats pushed ahead with President Barack Obama’s vision of health reform Saturday night – after a day that exposed significant divides in the party that could make it all but impossible to complete work on a plan by year’s end, or even sink the bill altogether.”
They’ve been cannibalizing their own assets to get this passed. The cost may have been too high.
And this is just the vote to open debate on the bill. If they actually want to pass the f_cking thing they’re going to have to pull all 60 of those votes at least two more times. And there are signs that some people are flaking — Lincoln, for one, says she’ll jump ship if Reid doesn’t take the public option out of the bill.
these people will rot in hell.
Really think Satan’ll take ‘em?
dunno.
but I DO know that if I was to do a re-imagining of Dante’s Inferno for the modern era, I’m quite certain I’d place them one circle BELOW Satan.
Why do Republicans and conservatives fawn over Lieberman? The man is a total load in the pants.
The GOP abandoned its own candidate to support Lieberman for Senate. Why?
My guess is that some Republicans are working for the Dems.
Nelson said he will not vote for anything with a public option, as well as a few others. It took $100 million in pork to get Landrieu to sign on. It’s still got a way to go. My bet, they shove something through eventually, no public option, and declare victory. Meanwhile the left will hate them for selling out and the right will be more determined to take them down for hoisting this beast upon them. My guess: healthcare becomes the “GOP Acquires The House Act of 2010.”
The GOP was likely to acquire the House, anyway. This could be “GOP Super-Majority Act of 2010.”
John,
Landrieu’s vote cost $300 million not $100 million as originally touted.
This has to be our line in the sand issue and we can’t let them cross it, this is more than a gateway to socialism it’s a gateway to absolute economic ruin. David and I with the help of a few others are digging in to fight and I’m rallying my troops (so to speak). Anyone wishing to help please let me know. We’re going to need people to make phone calls, write letters, and spread the word through every blog and website we can.
From the road: we cannot allow it to pass! Sick of some whining fro
people on my face book page. Question do people know civics ?
