My Thanksgiving hubba hubba is Bridget Lancaster from PBS’s “Cook’s Country.” Here she is, just about to serve up an enormous helping of something delicious.
Why is she my dream girl?
Because at my age…
…when I hear “great rack” my thoughts turn to lamb.
…when a friend characterizes a girl as a “butterface,” I think “Mmmmmm… Butter.” (Not that Bridget’s a buttterface. But I wouldn’t care, is what I’m sayin’.)
…I’m more likely to hyperventilate while watching the Food Network than the Playboy Channel.
Plus, Bridget cooks great food and plenty of it, and men are shooed away until it’s ready to eat.
What more could you ask for?

HEY Mikey!!! So are you seeing another blog behind our backs or did you just get a paying gig? How come you’re never here anymore? Happy Thanksgiving! I miss you around here.
No, Tracy. I’m not the kind of guy who’d two-time anybody.
I am, however, the kind of guy who frequently has nothing to say. I’m in the middle of a two-month case of lethargy.
(If anyone except my favorite girl had asked me, I wouldn’t have answered.)
Having nothing to say never stopped me!
I’m a COOK’S COUNTRY fan! I really enjoy that show, as well as “America’s Test Kitchen”, where Bridget used to appear. I enjoy her dry sense of humor, too! She’s really zinged Chris Kimball a few times.
Mike, go here to see more of Mrs. Lancaster: http://christopherkimball.wordpress.com/2009/11/19/cooks-country-blooper-reel/
Eh, this woman isn’t on my Hubba radar. I’m 41 and she comes across like an aunt. Leave the Hubbas to the originator. But I used to love America’s Test Kitchen when I lived in MA, and I subscribe to Kimball’s Cook Illustrated … a great magazine with no ads. It’s all recipes and the methods that worked and didn’t, to successfully let people at home know how to replicate their successes, and why they work.
