Chandler was great. The movie, with Robert Montgomery, was rather odd, being shot entirely from Philip Marlowe’s point of view, so that you only saw R. M.’s face once, in a mirror.
The story could easily been written about our own greatest generation. Perhaps we need to forge a renewed alliance in the new great war for our culture.
Don’t know… can’t find it. Too bad because I had a couple of high-larious comments. It’s not even saved in drafts so the only thing I can surmise is that Wanks shit-canned it for some reason.

Interesting read about the UK’s greatest generation, and their disappointment with the nation they fought for: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1229643/This-isnt-Britain-fought-say-unknown-warriors-WWII.html

There is a movie coming out about this: HARRY BROWN, where an old Brit (Michael Caine) takes on thugs in South London

Wait for Michael Caine’s line at the very end.
On a side note: always been fascinated by this fellow’s story. Wonder it hasn’t been put on the big screen: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_Bader
Hey where did Wanks Sat. top five go?
