I think I have discovered a cure for liberal mis-thinking. My brother in law, recently retired US Army, got a job in his state as some honcho in the welfare system. His second day there, he started applying for other jobs. He was appalled at who was showing up for benefits, leeching off the system. One example was a 22 year old male. Since he just turned 22, his mother could no longer claim him, so he was there to sign up for himself. One woman owns 5 vehicles, two of which are late model Cadilllac Escalades.
There are a few who legitimately need welfare, but the majority he has found out to be a bunch of dead-beat losers. My cure is to make those who think welfare is a wonderful system to work in the office and see where our tax dollars are going.
Yeah,G-Man,I almost got a job years ago with the TN Department of Human Services…they told me I didn’t have enough empathy for these poor mothers and their children
I never had any empathy for the women that would show up in my checkout line waving their wic checks, fifteen kids and foodstamps. I was in college working hard and thinking guess who gets to pay for all of this in a few years MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
And question: Can we have a discussion about Advent Music? About the only song I know that is a true Advent song is Oh Come Oh Come Emmanuel. I’d like to add more to my collection.
Mike, I think CBS lost the AFC games around the time NBC got the Sunday night game, ESPN became the home of Monday Night Football. I still miss the old days of Monday night on ABC.
“And you shall bear a messiah, and his name will be..Barack!”-The Gospel According to Katie
Blessings be upon his name.
Good one, Scott.

Six children with six different fathers…
You mean six children with 16 different fathers?

Love “Oh Come, Emmanuel.” Enya, of all people, has it on her Winter CD. Yeah, I’m one of those Enya dorks. Don’t play Dungeons & Dragons, though.
I think Enya actually looks kinda sexy in this vid: (Especially 0:27 to 0:45)

One of my favorite Enya tunes. Thanks for the link.
Always liked this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiyiexKOaHk#

Here’s a list I found of Advent songs:

Do you like the song People Look East?
O Come Divine Messiah
O come, divine Messiah!
The world in silence waits the day
When hope shall sing its triumph,
And sadness flee away.
Dear Savior haste;
Come, come to earth,
Dispel the night and show your face,
And bid us hail the dawn of grace.
O come, divine Messiah!
The world in silence waits the day
When hope shall sing its triumph,
And sadness flee away.
O Christ, whom nations sigh for,
Whom priest and prophet long foretold,
Come break the captive fetters;
Redeem the long-lost fold.

It was pathetic and frusterating. Bullshit.

Not.
Going back over previous posts here by the Threedonia boys (and girls) I realize how incredibly smart you guys are -and how utterly stupid I am.
Thanks, Kit!
—Mike!
Kit you are not stupid. Just young…..
Anybody watching football on CBS?
I’m sure I just heard one of the guys in the studio use the word “bullshit.”
How long has it been since CBS carried NFL football? When am I?

LOL Mike.
