My Norwegian ancestors (some of whom lived on a farm whose name means “whale inlet”) would have been shocked at this sinful waste of protein and burnable oil. Does no one care for the needs of the poor in Oregon?

I’ve probably mentioned this before here, but I saw a tee-shirt (in English) at a whale meat stand in the fish market in Bergen. It said, “If we had dolphins, we’d eat them too.”
