It's a problem, and a pattern, and it didn't start with Obama. The guy who was in charge of vetting Muslim chaplains for the military is currently doing time for terrorism-related crimes. I'll find the story if anyone doesn't believe me, but it might take some time as I don't believe it was widely reported, for some reason. What actions they do take will be purely damage control. The one thing to be thankful for is that his predecessor left him and us with a half-decent national security apparatus, which is about the only thing keeping us safe for the moment.
