Executives at National Public Radio recently asked the network’s top political correspondent, Mara Liasson, to reconsider her regular appearances on Fox News because of what they perceived as the network’s political bias, two sources familiar with the effort said.
So, does NPR believe that Ms. Liasson contributes to what they perceive as the bias at Fox News? That can’t be right. So now I’m confused. They think Fox News is biased, so they want to prevent those correspondents they consider unbiased from appearing on the network? No, that can’t be right either.
Can anyone help me out here?

One word: Projection.
You’re speaking truth to power, Lars.
I like to speak power to truth.
“Shut it or get it shut for you, pipsqueak.”
That’s what I would say, to a very small truth-teller.
It’s simple;
Mara Liasson is on NPR, where folks wear turtlenecks and talk in stentorian tones, so she’s obviously really, really smart. FoxNews makes up crazy stories about the President attending a racist church and hundreds of thousands of Americans protesting against socialized medicine. Also, people in states that grow corn watch FoxNews, some of their viewers did not even attend Ivy League Universities; therefore FoxNews is bad.
The good people (the ones in the turtlenecks) want to hurt the bad people (Bret Baier). If Liasson leaves there will only be dunces like Charles Krauthammer left, and Fox’s ratings will plummet.
What don’t you understand?
Rufus, I must admit I overlooked the ratings impact of her departure. Murdoch must be sh-tting bricks.
Boil some coffee, boys! This is a crisis!
I mean, if you take away Liasson there are only knuckle dragging cretins like Krauthammer and Hume left. Who will tune in then? I mean Fox’s ratings must already be in the tank, right? Nobody anyone at NPR knows watches the channel.
For a palate cleanser, you should look up Bill O’Reilly frying the book lady terry gross on NPR. he reads her the riot act when she tries to play “gotcha” and “Gee I’m so much smarter than you” with him.
HATE HATE HATE Terry Gross. Grrrrrr. That woman has no respect for anyone and is a lousy interviewer.
These are the same people who think the GOP should be ashamed of a “racist” past while giving a pass to the Dems, who invented it and are still practicing it.
Isn’t it amazing the Left is openly practicing censorship and Groupthink? I guess they really do think they’re bullet proof since they have a grip on the media.
It’s not censorship and groupthink if you’re doing it for altruistic reasons; like saving unicorns from tidal waves. Yeesh!!
I heard it was to protect the plaid bunnies hiding in the deserts of Ohio.
Those aren’t bunnies. They are vegetarian weasels.
I heard somewhere that Joe Biden really is a unicorn. It was in some YouTube video some months ago.
FYI, Liasson isn’t leaving, she told NPR to stuff it and will be honoring her contract with FOX. Liasson is two things: intellectually honest, the only quality I ask in any lefty, and smart – I’m sure she is well aware how many times she’s stopped in the streets as “that lady on FOX News” as compared to “that voice I hear in the morning in between gay midget porn and surfing the Democratic Underground.”
Good for her!
Do any NPR types appear on MSNBC?
Also, O’Reilly’s smackdown of Terry Gross might be the best piece of audio you’ll ever hear. I’m assuming it’s floating around the web somewhere. Classic stuff.
The first part is o’reilly — don’t be fooled by Triumph… he’s mocking o’reilly, but the first half is o’reilly.
WOW. What a righteous ass-kicking.
That was fun. And he was totally right.
It must have sucked to have been in Terri Gross’ head at that point in time.
It’s pretty simple, Mike. Like most of the liberal media, NPR takes its marching orders from the Obama administration. And the Obama administration said that Fox News is biased and that the rest of the media should simply ignore Fox News, remember? So that’s what the Obama drones at NPR are doing.
Notice the rest of the media didn’t fall lockstep into the FOX ban. They know the consequences down the road. NPR no the other hand, a tool of the government, is reacting quite differently. Another reason to oppose any kind of government bailout or funding for newspapers and media.
