Let’s see, the charitable angle’s been covered by one of our other resident Catholics (though he brilliantly played guilt card much better in another post since then), another one went the “only in moderation” smutty direction we’re renowned for taking, so while out of traditional Catholic methods, now it’s my turn to rally the Threedonia nation for Outlaw and his band of brothers & sisters who won’t be home for Christmas/Hanukkah/winter holiday season of your choice … that isn’t Kwanzaa.
By now I hope the excellent suggestions have been remembered — chocolate, salty snacks, DVDs, magazines chief amongst them — but please don’t forget the tunes, never forget the tunes. Bring the noise to your packages, something that’s going to get the gunners’ blood pumping. The hard rock/metal guys seem to do the best trick, from classics like AC/DC and Metallica to the new schoolers like Drowning Pool and Stuck Mojo, maybe throw in one of the 80s Power Ballads discs in case the fighting’s been overly hectic and they need some down time.
Whatever the case, it’s in the name of a different kind of “Freedom Rock,” so turn it up, man!!!!!

When are you going to give an update on what you’ve received? I hope that was S. Claus that signed for my salty nuts… There should be other stuff coming.
Santa is probably having a tough time matching up screen names/e-mail addresses with real names/return addresses. If you’d like, I could ask him if he’s received your package yet. E-mail the info to: mkriskey at gmail.
You know Santa?!
Dude, can you put in a good word for me? I want a ripstick. Tell him I’ve been nice’ish and you can personally vouch for my character.
You’ll get nothing and like it.
Somebody’s not being very “nice’ish.”
“Five bucks says the Schmale’s kid picks his nose.”
Well mine probably won’t be that hard, it’s got 27 candy bars (I’m never going to forgive them for that), and a Texas address, but just an update on what’s in the packages instead of who they are from would probably work for me. I don’t really need everyone to know exactly what I sent (other than the
3027 candy bars) but I’d like to know what our guys are getting.Very, very funny, Tracy (and you’re relly getting the hang of html)! Mrs. Firefly imposes a halloween candy tax on the Little Fireflies. I forget what the percent is, based on candy pieces, but I do remember that it’s 100% of any Almond Joys.
That was really my point. I had just reread Rufus post about telling what you gave.
How long do I have to get the stuff to CT? Just got a little extra Christmas cash and would like to do my part.
If it gets to CT by the 17th it’ll go out on the 18th. Probably another shipment a week later, for stragglers.
Santa also tells me he’ll have a list for me to post sometime tonight.
(He also said Rufus has been nice enough, and will get his dipstick.)
Thank you, Mike!
No, Santa said “Rufus is nice enough, but he’s a dipstick”.
I sleep with my Santa, so I don’t have to be nice to others.
Ripstik!
