For those interested, I have an essay available at our buddy Christian Toto’s site titled “Michael Moore: The Anti-John Ford.” It’s the story of a young man and his journey, attempting to see Capitalism: A Love Story without paying any money to do so. It ends in heartbreak. I’ll probably post it over here in a couple days, until then, visit Christian’s site and tell him how right he is for having “Spider-Man” in his top-ten movies of the decade.

You’re right about An American Carol, John- it gave Moore a surprising amount of character depth, probably more than he has in real life.
