If the actual machine makes a jpg image these things will turn up on the Internet. Even if only 2% of TSA screeners are perverts or corrupt (a not unreasonable number ) that's a lot of nekkid pictures of people. So much for our privacy advocates. There should be a little more nuance in the law. God knows there is plenty in other laws. Maybe it sounds cold, but I've been very clear with my children, sometimes you get the worst possible punishment the very first time you break the rule. We started with Adam and Eve. The very first time they ate of the tree, they were sent out forever and we all inherited their sin. My oldest at 6 pointed out that that didn't seem fair and all the rest have questioned it in their own time too. My unfailing answer is that while it doesn't seem fair, it's the way life is. Sometimes you get away with stuff for a long time, but there are plenty of times when the very first time you use drugs, you get a bad batch and die. Or you are speeding somewhere for the first time and a kid on a bike pulls in front of you. Or you have sex and end up with a life long disease. When you decide to do it your own way, that's the chance you take. I can't protect them from all their stupid, I got my own to deal with.
