@ mike:

At the start of the episode, she clearly, clearly doesn’t give a damn about anyone but herself, even trying to get the cabbie to run over one of the minor Lostaways (Frogurt), and by the end she’s interrupting a getaway/carjacking to help an unwed mother. That’s kind of cool.

It's also interesting that her, Claire, Aaron, and Ethan, are all still tied up together, even in the "It never happened" timeline.

The show almost lost me during the 3rd season because I thought everyone was behaving so stupidly. There has to be some believability in the characters to get me go along with the story. And nothing was believable about Kate's sticking a gun in the face of a pregnant woman, then becoming said pregnant woman's BFF. Give. Me. A. Break.

And could they please give me some sliver of a reason to accept the alternate world / time-lines thing. It's enough that they want me to believe you can be best buds with someone who sticks a gun in your face, then drives off with you stuff (I know, she brought it back. I. Don't. Care.), but it is really getting frustrating. The time travel stuff was one thing. Now we've got completely unrelated alternate worlds. That really stretches things.

When I heard "claimed" I wonder if anyone in the writer's room said, "What, you mean like luggage?" Cause that's the first thing I thought of.

And does "claimed" have anything to do with what Lapidus was apparently a "candidate for"?

So many questions, so few answers.

When I saw that this week's episode was called, "What Kate Did," I braced myself. I've never been particularly interested in Kate and her problems, and this was no exception. What the hell was she expecting when she followed Sawyer, anyway?

She's basically a selfish person who constantly takes the easy way out, disrupting lives and moving on when things get complicated. She gets little sympathy from me.

Not much happened in this one. If Sayid is possessed by some kind of dark entity, I must admit I'm confused. Esau's got Locke. Is Jacob going to turn out to be the evil one? If so, it's got to be set up more, because he hasn't given off that kind of vibe up until now.
