Great Coen Bros. film and one of the best, if not the best, gangster films not titled Godfather Part II. It’s certainly deserving to be called “classic”.

The greatest Coen Bros. film ever, also number one on my list of the best films of the 90′s. I can’t explain how much I love this movie. If you haven’t seen this you must. In fact, just go buy it, it’s like 7 bucks at Wal-Mart.
I have trouble deciding on the greatest Coens bros flick, they’re almost always so good.
“Intolerable Cruelty” is one that doesn’t get a lot of mention, but is very good. It’s light faire, but very well done!
I love that film… Clooney is actually great in that. The lawyer speeches are well done and insightful and John Goodman is — as always — good.
Like John Candy, John Goodman does not get enough credit for his acting ability. I guess folks have a hard time taking fat guys seriously, but both guys have (had) tremendous talent and range. “Intolerable Cruelty” is one of the few, adult comedies I’ve seen in the past 20 years that captures that “Doris Day/Rock Hudson” vibe. It’s an adult movie, but you wouldn’t dive for the remote if your 10 year old kid walked in the room while you and the wife were watching it.
My favorite script out there … and the movie ain’t too shabby neither.
Watching Patton instead of The Pacific.
It feels like the right thing to do.
