Just to give you some background about me. I really do appreciate your concern about my career and I wish I could clone a million of you that would support my career. I am originally from the Boston area and I grew up as a Democrat but we were all huge conservatives. In the 70s I was politically active and a lot of my friends ran against the kennedy machine in Mass and they are thugs and you can only deal with a thug as a thug. That is all the understand. We republicans conservatives must stop being the battered wife of the abusive democratic party that preaches tolerance. This is fascism, its an American version and these people today in Hollywood are running towards the full blown force of how the Nazis were. The only difference is that the Democrats don’t use bats, guns or sticks. What they do to you if you disagree on any level is they will blackball you and throw the key away. In the Mafia you end up with a bullet in the back of the head and stuffed in a trunk. In Hollywood your agent drops you, your phone stops ringing and your close friends in the business won’t take your calls or be seen with you out in public.

This is what the Nazis did to Germans who had Jewish friends. Like it or not we conservatives christians, Catholics Mormons, we are the new JEWS of Germany and its 1934. Life is beginning to be a pain in the ass. The only difference is as I mentioned the leftist malcontents don’t have the stomach for blood and todays Christians, well we are not walking into the arena to be eaten by the lions.

We are in a street fight and in a street fight you get into the blood, the mud and the beer. American politics is a bar room fight, I found this out as a 20 year old in democratic politics not fighting Republicans but fighting leftist Kennedy zombies. Now, I am an independent filmmaker, I came out to Hollywood with dreams of achieving the American dream and to make films that honored America, our troops, God, Mom and apple pie. I thought this was the norm, little did I know that I fell into a leftist self hating group of Americans who HATE this country and they spent from 1969 to today making film after film attacking America, our Vietnam vets and now todays troops. Here I come, like Andy Hardy wanting to make a film to provide entertainment and maybe inspire some kid out there to make films like this too.

So I went out and raise all the capital in the private sector and made a low budget film called FORGOTTEN HEROES. Now this was my third film but my first directing. My other two films were in profit and I was learning what it is like to deal with real mobsters who are protected by our law under the guise of business. Their idea of business it that you make a film, they keep all the profit and you take a walk and thank you for your film! This is LIFE in the independent world of filmmaker. Do you know how many fellow filmmakers I know took this deal and they are all gone. I am still here because I refuse to allow these crooks and some of them are radical leftist too, do to me what Hitler did to Poland.

I made a film that shows the Vietnam Veteran as a hero, a good guy, you know the kind of films John Wayne made. They came after me like I was a war criminal and the entire Hollywood ‘mob’ that controls this town made sure that my little film would not see the light of day. This was 1990, I made the film in 88 and it took me two years to complete this. I made this film between the release of two leftist nam films, Platoon and Causalities of War. These two films is how the leftist malcontents see Vietnam, It was during these days i fought these bastards and they are bastards tooth and nail. They blackballed me, blacklisted me, politely ignore me and my film, either way for the next twenty years I was alone dragging this film around and having every door in this Land of the intolerant slammed in my face. Now, on the other hand all the independents wanted my film for free and they were going to ‘help’ me get out of this problem if I just handed my negative over to them. AFter a couple of years they would tell me, “look the film is old, it isn’t with the times, no one cares about Vietnam, but give us the film and we can help you” , I would asked why do I deserve this generosity from them?

In 1993 I sued a small time distributor and he tied me up for three years I couldn’t do a thing with my film since it was locked up in litigation. This is a typical trick of these legalize gangsters to break you and your spirit. They didn’t count on the fact I was a kid from Everett Ma we never give up. I won this law suit and put the bastard out of business. AFter that hit the papers I could not get a job washing floors in the studio commissary. My name was put in that black book that everyone denies that exist. This is a very small town and everyone knows everyone.

So after 1996 I went underground and came out in 2004 ready to take on Hollywood the leftist cult members. At this time there was an explosion on the internet with blogs and website. I was all over the place raising hell, again we are in a war with people who will destroy you if you disagree with them. Forget about even making a film that goes against their agenda.

I have been in so many battles with the left that I am all scared up and you cannot scorched a scar. In 2005 the first conservative film festival was born and that person who is a fellow filmmaker wouldn’t put my film in the same venue as his AFM level film. The AFM is the lower bowels of the film business and I spent ten years trying to get out of that hell hole. FORGOTTEN HEROES was my ticket out and I came close to landing a deal with MGM for a major theatrical release. That is another story for another time.

I was refused by the conservatives in three film festivals and on their blogs too. So between the leftist and my pals on the conservative side I am batting a 1000. What people don’t understand is that all these people today in the conservative movement that are running these huge blogs were all in High school when I was down in riverside in swamps with a 35-mm camera on my shoulder shooting real films. There are a lot of conservatives that have helped me, they have bought my film, they promote my film as the owner here on THREEDONIA which I am always grateful. They guys that run this site understand what it means for conservatives to stick together no matter what. They don’t eat their own as others have in the past.

For me these are all just bumps in the road. I get around them, and advance like Patton. I have my own website and I am selling my DVD for 19.95 plus S/H. I have a lot of great reviews, testimonials from Vietnam Vets, and just your average American who lives in the heartland. Here in Hollywood there is an intense jealousy among your peers and even with former partners. What I love are the people who have never made a film and are so jaded all these see it a film on the level of TITANIC or it isn’t a film. They all believe that is where they are all going if someone would just see their talent and give them 80 million dollars. This are the people I deal with on both sides of the fence – they are fruit-loops. None of them would last one year at the AFM.

So I am here, alone selling my 21 year old Vietnam action war film, that has NO F-words and I dare show a generation of Americans as heroes. I must have been out of my mind according to all my distractors. I don’t give a damn for Hollywood, the Hollywood I loved died in 1959 I came out way too late and landed in this place full of malcontents who are now so rich they actually believe the are demigods, after all they are all worth over a few hundred million dollars and they are not about to allow anyone with a different political and religious point of view join this club.

Meanwhile you have these phonies like Tom Hanks, Sean Penn, Alex Baldwin, George Clooney and the rest of these leftist cultist basically pissing on us every time they make a film or go on Bill Maher’s show. I want to know what gives these vile low lives the blanket immunity to spit on everything we as conservatives believe and we have to be polite back when we discuss anything with them. The left has been bitch slapping conservatives around for over 90 years and some conservatives must like it. As an American I refuse to eat anyone’s bullshit and I will tell it like it is and I will talk in the street language that they will understand that you are not going to allow these bastards to draw first blood.

The time for civl discussion is long gone. There was a time when both parties could sit and talk over a beer and get things done. That is when both sides believe in a real Republic in a democratic process. Today we are living with wannabe fascist who, if they had real balls would be out in the streets like the SA were and bust heads. The think is they know we Americans will fight back and give them worse they they give us and that is the only thing that is stopping them.

The time is to call them what they are in the language they understand. They get away with calling us nazis, no Hollywood critic said he would love to see all christians exterminated but on in a literal sense. Now you tell me how do you deal with that person? Since I’m sicilian I’d give the prick a Joe Pesci beating in the real sense, you think maybe the light bulb will go on?

If we as conservatives don’t fight back as dirty as we get we are doomed. Then we will have guns in the street and that isn’t what we want. All we have to do is call these mad dog leftist cult members on the carpet and exposed them for what they are. We all need to take the offensive and attack like Patton says in his speech, when they made real war films. This post wood-stock world we all live in is a complete and abject failure, they are holding on to it and attacking everything that repels it, in order to maintain it. Now, Hanks goes after the WWII generation that save the world from two countries unchecked would have murders billions. I say we call these animals what they are and don’t allow them to breathe. This is a fight for the soul of our kids and we owe it to all those young boys in graves all over Europe and the Pacific who gave up their dreams of growing old so we can live in the America they died for. Not some LSD trip from a bunch of baby boomer spoiled misprints that want to destroy everything this Republic stands for because they don’t like it??? Well excuse me, stop this planet so I can jump off without falling down.

It is going to take a hell of a lot more then being blackballed by the quisling leftist of hollywood cultist and the gutless conservatives to stop me because I have an ‘OLD” film and I might be a bore to them. The entire force of the 5 studio families couldn’t stop me and I ended up like Papillon at the end of the film, only because I could never raise the funds to take on these SOBS. You know the damage I can do to them if I get my hands on 250K or even a million to market FORGOTTEN HEROES. You think they gave Mel a hard time, I would love them to come after me like they did Mel,he was too damn polite, with me they have one of them biting back.

You know a lot more about the business than I do, but I still think you assume a lot more morality and ethics in Hollywood than is legitimate. I think Hollywood will ignore anything to make a buck. Look at Roman Polanski. Mel Gibson. O.J. Simpson. If Jack Marino came to Greengrass with a good script Greengrass would partner with him in a New York minute. Bill Maher spills bile, unpredictably, at every turn, and he keeps getting air time. Michael Moore has bit every hand that has ever fed him (and that’s a lot of hands!) and he still gets funding, studio backing and theater space. Hollywood is a den of whores.

If you’re going to write novels, firing off obscenity filled bile probably won’t be that big a deal. Novel writing is a solitary adventure. And if your past hate filled screeds prevent you from finding an editor and publisher, you can always go the self-publish route.

But when you get into a collaborative effort like film-making, some people might not want to work with someone who is known for calling anyone they disagree with an ass, son of bitch, bastard, quisling ingrate, etc., etc., ad nauseum. Even if Paul Greengrass was open-minded enough to do a project with Mr. Marino, after reading something like this what do you think the chances are of that happening? And if conservatives got off their political hobby-horses for a few minutes and actually started investing in the cultural influence professions, would you want to give your money to someone who might take to the ‘interwebs’ with an ALL CAPS, obscenity laced screed about what a lousy American you are over a political disagreement?

I guess what I’m trying to say is that Klavan does have a point. But be smart about the complaints. Andrew’s PJTV stuff works because he brings a sense of humor to it.

I hope posts like this, from Mr. Marino, does not hurt his career, but I expect it will. And instead of bringing people together for another film, he’ll alienate folks, and all we’ll get are more online screeds about how Hollywood is full of “bums” and “fat bloated pigs,” and no one should give those “leftist malcontents” any money.

I don’t think Tom Hanks is a bad person or that he’s making these remarks to spit on the graves of the people who fought WW2. I think it’s simple ignorance, and that is perhaps the saddest reason of all. Is what he said stupid and ill-informed? Absolutely. Is there a teaching moment somewhere here? Yes. But I won’t boycott his work or discount his previous accomplishments (such as they are). And I don’t think he’s anywhere near the same universe as Sean Penn.

Roger [Simon] urges conservatives to stop complaining and start writing their projects. Myself, I would say start writing your projects–and keep complaining! This is a rock we’re pushing uphill and if we let up on the pressure for even a moment, it’ll come right back down on top of us.
