I have no idea why, but Mrs. Firefly lives in a constant state of fear over our credit score and we are the most boring, low risk folks in the country. The last time we bought a car the loan manager actually commented that we had the highest score he had ever seen, but that still wasn’t enough to allay her fears.
I blame Oprah.
Rufus, my wife is the same way. Does Mrs. Firefly pay the bills? My wife does and I think it’s related. Even though we always manage to pay our bills each month she is always wondering if we’ll “make it.” We take home twice as much as we did 5 years ago and she still is sweating out the month. Maybe it’s a relevancy issue. You know, I’m working hard here paying the bills so it must be difficult and filled with anxiety.
The day we watched Ray Barone (Everybody Loves Raymond) screw up the checkbook because he thought paying the bills was easy was the day I crawled under the couch…
Oh yea, I blame Bush.
And by Bush, you of course mean Cheney and Rove.
