One of the writers over at Big Hollywood wrote about how hard it is to hate Alec Baldwin….
I hate to say it, but I think that’s right.
I don’t like Tina Fey all that much, but 30 Rock (free on Hulu!) has some hilarious moments — mostly from Alec.

I got hooked on 30 Rock straight off the bat because of Baldwin. He, ironically, plays the best on screen Republican ever. Though Jack’s right-sided world view is supposed to be satirical, Baldwin pulls off the character so well you laugh with him and not at him. Sweet, sweet irony.
My attitude anything right up until 2000 is OK. And his statement on Maher that it was teh Dems to blame for the financial mess gives him some interesting mystery.
That scene is pure genius and couldn’t agree more with your take, John Milton. The episode where Jack helps Tracey with the little league team a favorite as well. If I didn’t know any better I’d say Tina Fey’s a closet Republican.
That scene comes from the Carrie Fisher episode. Best line from Jack… “Never go with a hippie to the second location.”
Ok, so why isn’t that racist?
“Ok, so why isn’t that racist?”
Because it was written and performed by liberals. Duh.
Baldwin’s a terrific comic actor. I don’t get the Fey adulation (ooh, I smell a crankette!) but Alec is terrif.
