Wankette everytime I walk into Barnes and Noble and see books about the ONE that are favorable I usually find Ann Coulter, or some other awesome critic and cover his face up. This last election at Books A Million I found a bunch of Pro Palin books and the largish coffee shop worker yelled at me. Heh.

I love that quote! I will use it. I will not use it as my own, never once attributing it to "Floyd's history professor."

Rufus... yeah I know... too bad.

I had a history prof who used to say "We gave women the right to vote and they gave us Warren G. Harding." He was joking -- I think -- though Harding was quite the ladies' man I think.

I know the usual suspects will be in hard sellin' mode, but I don't see anyway he's going to meet all these expectations. Of course, it is scary he's backtracking on everything and no one on the left seems to be even breathing heavy. Cult of Personality indeed.

Floyd,

I really like the idea of folks born here having to pass the same citizen test to vote that we require of foreigners before allowing them to vote. It is truly embarrassing how ignorant of simple civics so many of our voters are. But, that just brings up too many memories of poll taxes and "tests" used by the South to keep blacks from the polls.

And, I don't know if it would make a difference. Surprisingly Democrats and Republicans are just about identical in the population. IQs, divorce rate, income, education...

I think we should have the 29 Amendment. Literacy tests again for voting and for service in Congress -- now that education is more widespread (arguably).
