Bread and Circuses

Last night was opening night of my Constitutional law course…. Nothing like giving a lecture on natural law, the common law and the Declaration of Independence at a state university in California. It’s not all that bad actually, but it’s not as it should be either — response or understanding wise. Anyway… the above book is a great summary of natural law and provides a devastating critique of Mills and Bentham and the pleasure principle.
