Sounded like an improvement on “Vertigo,” which I liked until the incessant iPod commercials soured me on it, till the bridge, at which point couldn’t agree more with Kath and G-Man. I believe will make my own edit of the song…
The forced chord progressions hurt this song. Though, I haven’t been crazy about any of the songs they first release from their albums, since after Joshua Tree released With or Without You. That was their last greatest first released song. After that, they usually release the weakest songs on their albums first.

There’s only so much one can do with three chords and standard rock and roll instrumentation.
