Nancy Pelosi rejected suggestions that once Gitmo is closed that the terror suspects be moved to Alcatraz Island in her district. I think the Republicans need to press this for two main reasons even though Pelosi would never let it happen: 1. It’s not a bad idea — it can’t be that much more expensive than running Gitmo (though I haven’t seen cost estimates) and it’s infamous, isolated and secure 2.: Politically it highlights Pelosi’s and the Dems’ position on these terrorists and keeps it before the public.
I also think the torture prospects are great. Imagine being a jihadist freak. You’re living within earshot of San Francisco — one of the most perverse, liberal and richest cities in the world — a symbol of much of what is wrong with America. You can hear the music and laughter of tourists and residents, smell the chocolate from Ghirardelli Square, etc. Plus it’s cold and damp a lot of the time. The kicker for our jihadist wards? The thought of all that unconstrained sodomy going right across the bay would be too much for your average terrorist to bear. They’d crack.
Oh, for goodness sake, what’s the big deal, just let them go, you know he wants to. Why bother sending them here, there and the next place, just put them all on a plane and send them back to Iraq. Got a dollar to bet on that happening?
If I was stuck there, I’d crack too.

Hell I think Alcatraz is perfect. In fact I say since Nancy and her flock of flying monkeys love terrorists so much that dammit they should baby sit em. Why not? We don’t want em in Florida. I know no one in Wisconsin who wants em. Come on Nancy your all about loving a terrorist so take em. ALL!

How I LURVED the Alcatraz suggestion. Proof that the Congerssional GOP has a sense of humor.
And further proof that San Fran Nan can’t put her money where her stretched-out-by-plastic-surgery mouth is.
But why inject “suggestions” like Alcatraz? And if someone does suggest them, why would the minority leader repeat it? That’s unproductive politics as usual. How about a serious alternative or just saying hey, “the best way to handle the terrorists suspects at Gitmo may in fact be Gitmo.”
