Regarding Damon’s statement and Kristol’s request for a debate; I think it would be wonderful and I hope Damon accepts. I believe both men would be civil and it would be worth watching. It would certainly be more constructive and informative than both men debating each other in the press.

Damon called Kristol an “idiot.” That’s a serious charge. He ought to be willing to defend his reasons and he ought to be man enough to give Kristol a chance to defend himself.

If this has any effect on making celebrities think before speaking, less they get called out on a major stage, I say go for it. Conservatives should have done this a long time ago.
