Roll Over Giant

What if General Patton — or his aide gave his speech to the Third Army today? Inspired by Rufus’ comment in his Giants post below… Of course… Patton would never be in a position to make a speech today probably….

You forgot to include the TelePrompTer transcript.

That’s great, Floyd! Truly inspired! Threedonians, please link Floyd’s post throughout the interwebs. A picture is worth a thousand words.

I’d love to hear Teddy Roosevelt give a speech on the Gulf oil rig spill! He’d personally be digging the holes to drill in ANWAR.

You did that yourself? Impressed. I knew you were somewhat clever, and had a good sense of humor, but that, sir, was pretty darn brilliant.

Glad the goose part made it in there.

  • Thanks guys… PPT saves as a jpeg… get the gist of the speech on You Tube and voila! — it’s mere minutes to desecration. Irreverence is fun! and quick!

    • You would know this because you obviously haven’t been to any military staff/command schools but your powerpoint violates one of the rules they actually teach there about powerpoint presentations, dark backgrounds (blue or black), numbered slides (1 of 10 etc.), command or unit logo in either the top or bottom corners. Of course if Patton were alive he probably wouldn’t follow any of those rules, but I doubt he would choose pink as a color for his slides. Other than that great job.

      • Once I realized I had pink on it they were already jpegs and thus they were staying pink.

Given Patton’s love for all things gaudy (very manly and very 19th century and earlier)… he might have actually liked the pink.

I’m late to this post and thread but three cheers for Floyd! I saw Rich’s Gettysburg Address yesterday and just made it over to this thread.

I think Tracy had the best comment so I’ll just copy and paste hers: “You did that yourself? Impressed. I knew you were somewhat clever, and had a good sense of humor, but that, sir, was pretty darn brilliant.”

    Ditto!
