All of these are good, save Huckabee. And Christie rocks.

I chose by ability combined with the best chances to win in 2012.

I voted for Romney because I don’t feel that Christie and Jindhal, while capable, are ready for prime-time. I feel this is Romney’s time.

Daniels is an excellent choice as far as ability, but name recognition is lacking, as seen by the need to caption his name.

Palin has suffered from the constant slings and arrows of a hostile media and pop culture to an extent that her brand is toxic among a significant portion of the public. Sad and undeserved, but that’s politics for you.

I don’t have strong opinions on Huckabee one way or the other, except for a tiny impression that he may be something of a flake.

I picked Christie. The idea of seeing him debate Obama makes me all warm all over….but I don’t believe he will run. I am little iffy on Romney. If he tried to be centerist instead of doing what he had to do and being Reaganesque he’d end up Obama 2.

  • If the answer is Romney, the the question is pretty effed up. I’d rather sit out the election than allow that pompous piece of white obamanism to set foot in the White House as anything other than a tourist. He’s a lying crapweasel with all the charms of a used-car salesman and enough ego-driven attitude to fill up the Superdome by himself.

If Sarah Or Christie isn’t leading the ticket, then no one is honestly interested in turning this nation around, and we might as well get used to the bloviating paternalism of a permanent leftist administration.

    YMMV, of course. :)

    • Floyd, Rufus and CFK, will Threedonia be installing a “Like” feature anytime soon, maybe a “Hell yeah!!!” to differentiate ourselves from other sites?

  • I couldn’t vote. I’m not excited about any of these people, except possibly Palin, but she seems to be unelectable.

I don’t care who the Republican nominee is, it could be a 13 year old Twinkee and I’d vote for it just to vote against Obama.

That said the title “Morning Poll” made me giggle a little. Don’t all men wake up with something similar?

I voted for Daniels…need Paul Ryan or Michelle Bachmann on the ticket.I’m with Tim,that little white bread punk Romney stinks to high heaven.

Ron Paul? You hvae got to be kidding me. Do you also keep a tin foil hat you never told us about? That man is insane. And he is one of the biggest earmark junkies in congress. He is also an insult to every man and woman in uniform. He perpetualy lives in 1880. ANd he longs for a world that never existed. He divides the Gop, hurts our guys in the Afghan Theater of Ops and Iraq. Whines about spending money when he grabs fistfuls himself. A disgrace and a charlatan. A snake oil salesman.

      • Floyd, can we get some bigger type fonts? That or we should help her out by putting P-A-U-L R-Y-A-N in the future.

Welcome to the world of Dyslexia. fellas..words get fuzzy and letters do dances and come out wayy differently than they should…..sorry Scott. But I still stand by what I said about Ron Paul…
And as for Mr. Ryan…he is fine right where he is. He needs to chair a committee, perhaps apropriations or something big. Boehner by virtue of seniority is going to be Speaker if the GOP can take the house…him or Pence. However I’d say Boehner. Majority leader? It could be a battle between Cantor and Pence. I’d pick Pence. Sorry Mr. Cantor luv ya but Pence is a great guy. All of the GOPERS in the news right now are hard core. Boehner would be a decent even tempered Speaker but would be a take no crap guy.
But lets cross that bridge when we get to it. :)

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t very happy about any of the choices. I don’t think Romney is conservative enough for me. Christy is ok but I don’t know how socially conservative he is.

The GOP needs to run a solid social / fiscal conservative who has a very strong leadership abilities. No more wishy washy RINOs.

I’m tepid on Romney because the best speech I heard him give was when he left the 2008 primary race. I don’t think that’s a good sign.

Jindal and Christie have the leadership qualities needed and the bonus of being governors! Obama is a prime example why senators aren’t always the best presidents.

I just don’t know Jindal and Christie well enough to give them a hearty ‘huzzah’ but they are the best candidates thus far. How long does one need to serve in a demanding office like governor before they have the experience needed? Is one term long enough?

    • Dr.Schplatt

Do you think Christy will run and give the impression he’s abandoning NJ?

      • David Marcoe

Christie won’t run. He’ll have spent a grand total of eighteen months in office, in his first term, before he spends nearly another eighteen months running for president, if the current length of election cycles holds. And right now the man’s focus is most certainly on NJ.

Stephanie,Niall Ferguson, one of the world’s greatest economic historians has said that Paul Ryan’s Roadmap is magnificent…PR is the greatest thing to come out of Wisconsin since you!
