Once again Letterman proves he’s an idiot! Islam isn’t your typical religion of peace and should never be viewed as such for the purposes of “religious freedom in America.” I doubt seriously that your average Hindu, Buddhist, Methodist or whatever other major religious groups out there, spend a lot of time strapping dynamite to their kids to go blow up the local infidels! I shall not apologize for that take on it either.
I’m glad to hear Trump make his statement and stick by it. If only the NY Mayor had some cajones!
Why hasn’t he read the Q’uran? I read it when I was about 15. It’s not a big book. Fine if you don’t want to read it, but then don’t make statements about what is in it.
A fine point that seems to be overlooked in this kerfuffle is the difference between practicing a religion and building a place of worship. There are many places a house of worship/temple/church/mosque would not be permitted to be constructed based on zoning laws.
I suspect zoning law restrictions don’t apply in the case of the Cordoba House/Park51/Ground Zero Mosque. If I had the money to construct a cathedral I wouldn’t be allowed to build it wherever I wanted. That’s not a limitation on my freedom to practice my religion.

This guy should have retired ten years ago.

And yes, Letterman is a dingle berry.
