Says Many Gang Members Were Coming After His Family
He fired four shots into his lawn and was arrested by Police for “reckless endangerment”. According to Police it’s not enough if someone (or 20 or so in this case) verbally threaten you and your family’s lives, you must actually see a weapon. YEESH.

Shameful. Ought to be a warning to everyone who cares about freedom and personal dignity.
Not how it ends, but definitely how it starts. It ends when this kind of insanity becomes so common that it’s no longer significant enough to post on a blog like this.
Policemen can’t even protect themselves when assaulted by assailants brandishing a knife drenched in blood.
It’s time for juries to do their job and rein this shit in. It’s also time for voters to get a clue and clamp down on DAs that charge this crap. Cops are only as good as the laws they enforce and they should use their discretion too. They didn’t have to make an arrest.
They should also have dispensation to raid the homes of these 2,000 MS-13 members and shoot them. OK maybe that last part is unconstitutional.
if you armed law abiding citizens with AK-47s and M-16s there wouldn’t be 2,000 gang members in that county.

In my case, if I know that I’m going to go to jail for firing into the ground, then I’m not going to even bother with a warning shot. I’ll just start shooting the bastards and be done with it.
And that’s the perverse incentive these dolts don’t understand. If I’m going to jail regardless of the trajectory of my bullet… I might as well shoot level and save my family. I’m surprised that we don’t hear this out of the U.K. more often. In a situation where you can be sent to jail for attacking the guy who broke into your house, I don’t know why you wouldn’t just kill the son of a bitch. Might as well be hanged for a sheep as for a lamb.
An armed society is a polite society. So, the men in my family always say.
MS-13 is supposedly pretty active in this area and around DC. The police always do sweeps but never seem to catch anyone. Just last year there was a massive sting on Pentagon workers with MS-13 connections, the police waiting for them to show up for work and nab them. Strangely, none of them came to work that day.
The fact that this man was arrested is unconscionable. That DA should be arrested.
This story is pretty shocking, so much so that I wonder if the man’s story is completely true. The story gives the idea that the gangbangers tried to go Zulu on this family, but maybe he was just jerking off with a gun and is trying to justify it by claiming it was self-defense by inventing the platoon-level assault on him. I’m just wary of these ‘gotcha’ stories that turn out to be pure bunk later on. But if true, it’s disgusting and an abuse of power. I guess time will tell.
On a side note, notice the picture on the story is a file photo of a bunch of AK-47s, as if the guy had an arsenal. Stay classy, CBS.
Megan Kelly whom usually makes a lot of sense, says on O’Reilly that she was on the cop’s side because the guy when threatened needed to just go in the house and hide till the police got there.
Common sense wise yeah, that might be the best thing to do…but last time I looked in the good ole US of A, my lawn was my property and if I ask someone to leave and they don’t and by the way at the same time they threaten my life and my family’s life…I have or should have a right to defend my property and my family. In Texas there is no doubt about this as far as the law is concerned…New York it appears is another matter entirely.
It is troubling to me that people are so willing to curl up and hide from thugs and those who would seek to intimidate. I don’t seek confrontation nor do I desire it…but if the police are unable or unwilling to round up gangs what are we to do? Disgusting, this whole business.
I would do whatever Megan Kelly asked me to do, happily,(anything you want Megan), that said she wasn’t there. I call the police, tell them to give me an eta, when they don’t commit to time, I kindly tell them my plan and go shoot the bastards. Got to trust the jury on this one. Our father’s America on life support, God help us.
