And I like how on some other sites Occuposer sympathizers are claiming this is a horrible atrocity because these brave souls were engaged in “non-violent” protest. [Mail bovine fecal material]. When you deliberately blockade the free-passage of others, and deliberately ignore lawful orders to stop engaging in such behavior, you’ve “progressed” into the realm of coercion and the use of force.
For the Progressive Left, “non-violence”, like “free speech” , has been transformed into, “whatever I do is okay, and not only must you tolerate my behavior, you are wrong to try and stop me.”

What a sad display of assholishness. Arrest the demonstrators and haul them away, but this is such overkill. It only further perpetuates the idea that these protestors are victims.
They do that to incapacitate them, so they don’t fight back, and for two reasons: (1) To lessen the possibility of physical injury and (2) to lessen the possibility of getting sued. While such cases would have little chance of holding up in court, the money and time spent could be significant and even an exoneration could still leave a mark on an officer’s record. Considering the vandalism, riots, rapes, murders, and general mayhem that have happened in the OWS camps, it’s only prudent to be an asshole at this juncture.
Victims of liberal education policy
Experience has taught me that one receives back what one puts out. Act like a brat, no matter how old you are, expect to be treated like a brat.
One of my friends actually compared this to Kent State on FB. Even if there was a valid comparison there, at least Da Man is using pepper spray instead of bullets, which has to count for something.
