I currently have Sirius Satellite Radio in the Dodge Nitro & have come to love the Book station. I was listening, this afternoon, to an episode of Twilight Zone Radio, titled “He’s Alive”. It is about a kid ‘mentored’ by the ghost of Adolph Hitler. In one scene the junior Adolph is giving a street corner speech, and goes on and on about nationalism and patriotism. Fascinating how the liberal-left associates patriotism with Nazism.
I don’t know if this was an original episode or a newly penned radio play. (You can listen to the show online Saturday and Sunday nights, from 9-10pm, at KIXI 880 AM.) Either way its entire premise was rather lame.
This show got me thinking that someone, maybe me (if I can figure out how to write a radio play) ought to write a Twilight Zone episode about some aging hippie haunted by the ghost of Lenin, or Marx, or Mao, or Pol Pot, or Fidel Castro (there seems to be a veritable cornucopia of Commie murderous thugs). And if you don’t want to go the political route one can always go for the death row vermin Lefties love to defend.
Hmmm… Susan Sarandon and Ted Danson possessed by the ghosts of Chairman Mao and Stanley ‘Tookie’ Williams. It might have legs …
Just finished watching 300 (for about the 300th time). First time I realized that Lena Headley who played Queen Gorgo is also Sarah Conner in The Sarah Conner Chronicles. I knew I had heard that voice somewhere.
Sitting here watching SNL. I don’t usually watch more than the opening scene, but was too lazy to get out of the recliner tonight. Wow, they have REALLY run out of ideas.
Cool painting to use for the open thread Floyd. Love that painting. Its called Ecce Homo correct? Behold the Man? Very cool. Kind of like a curtain pulled back on one moment in time.
The figure of Pilate really catches your eye…faceless, that sudden arm gesture, and the left foot raised to almost tiptoe. You can almost hear him shouting those words,Ecce Homo!”
Are you describing your lack of more content or longing for cold frosty brew?

In browsing the net for that comment above, I came across this gem from October 2008: The ACLU was complaining that death row inmates weren’t getting sufficient health care.
ACLU … ’nuff said.
Just tell the ACLU they all converted to Christianity, they’ll lose interest.
