Oooooh, Bruce’s “angriest” album yet, chock full of songs about economic injustice. Yawn and please don’t forget to give your cleaning staff six figure salaries, “Boss.” That and save the speeches for Malcolm X.
“He gets into economic justice quite a bit,” says an earwitness who’s heard some of the music. “It’s very rock’n'roll. He feels it’s the angriest album he’s ever made. Bear in mind, though, that [Springsteen] wrote and recorded the majority of the album before the Occupy movements started, so he’s not just setting headlines to music.”

I was born to run away from this album.
Go out for that ride and never come back.
Tunnel of Love was always one of my favorite songs of his. I am not sure, but I think there might be a joke in there somewhere.
Tramps like us…
He’s revved up like a deuce, another boomer gettin’ high.
I don’t know if I can even name on Bruce Springsteen song. That says more about me and my music tastes than anything I suppose. But I think it also says something about musicians who think their political views actually matter.
F*ck you,you G*ddamn old bastard..
Those theories will come back to haunt him, they’ll haunt him in his purse
Is an album a lie if it doesn’t come true, or is it something worse?
I knew there was a reason I didn’t like him.
Proud to say that I don’t own any “Boss” music. I never thought it was that good. Couldn’t understand what the fuss was about.
I enjoyed a decent amount of his music in the 80s (the song Glory Days being another example), but nothing much after that.
Too bad he was born in the U.S.A.
Nah, that would be Public Enemy, who have The Evil Empire of Everything album coming out later this year. I know they ultimately don’t care they’re alienating at least half their audience (or a larger percentage with PE), but small wonder album sales are down across the board.
F*** him. One of the most overrated acts in the last 30 years.
Another rich ‘liberal’ hypocrite. Bazillions of dollars in the bank, complaining about economic justice. Bruce, until you write a check to charities for 90% of your holdings, STFU!
Springstein is the guy rich, yuppie liberals like because he makes them think they are for the working man. What a load.
Amen!
