Good morning and happy February! Coffee, coffee and even more coffee. Krullers and cupcakes, and Coke Zero for you bubbly lovers!
I’ll be back.
Coffee, pleeeeease. Three hours sleep. YUCK.
Lucky you…
I feel for ya Goozer. When I lived in Texas, I had chronic sinusitis that lasted for the almost 20 years I lived there. It never really went away. When I moved to Nevada in 1986, it disappeared almost totally. Something I guess in the red soil and vegetation in TX.
There’s no red soil in central Texas, unless somebody had it shipped in. BUt I grew up here and the longer I stay I get more allergies.
True. Central TX has tons of foliage east of the dry line. West TX has the red soil and blowing dirt with quite a lot of regularity. Both were killer to my sinuses. We get dirt storms here too, but it doesn’t fire ny sinuses off, however.
Three hours? With I could say that. Pulled a muscle in my hip and while it’s not bad it hurts. Low slow ache.
Good book just starting. Berlin 1961 the most dangerous place in the world.
http://youtu.be/tgbNymZ7vqY (you have to watch to the end)
… or fast forward to 4:39.
yeah, what he said.
But the whole thing is rather amusing, loved Animal’s bit. I was wondering what they were going to do with that whole “killed a man” part and they handled it beautifully.
Now I have to go back and watch the whole thing. First Outlaw divulges that I don’t read any of the posts, now you uncover that I don’t watch any of the videos. Well, before y’all start piling on, I’ll have you know I’ve been kicked out of nicer places than this.
In retaliation I’ll have you know that while you were offline last night Outlaw took umbrage with something you wrote about Tink on the “Serfs of 3D” page. That’s right! Umbrage!!
Wow, can you say diversion anyone?
And he wonders why I doubt he’s really listened to many RF3D podcasts.
And I’ll have you know I already saw that and…….
didn’t care.
Artfully dodging, Rufus?
MAAAAAAAAAMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
Mama?
Or use http://www.youtubetime.com/
which shows you how to add a specific time to your link
YUCK. I hate those nights.
While those nights are bad, I think the following mid-afternoons are worse.
This book sounds right up my alley. I will purchase it and read it.
I will purchase it and I will read and I will like it and I will show it to the bunny rabbits and I will read it again and again.
Just messin’ with ya, Beggar Boy.
Cretin.
I’ll have you know that I’m descended from a Cretin! My Dad was born in Crete, Nebraska! Now, aren’t you ashamed?
Color me red. Cornhusker red.
Rufus is the only guy I know who does not talk on a cellphone or text while driving. He reads books while driving!
I is literate.
Potential screenplay for a sequel (make that 3rd sequel) to a Robert Rodriguez movie?
For those of you who went to bed early last night I wrote the following line:
“To circle it back to the Chris Christie thread, that is one, ginormous A.”
It deserves an entire box of Tagalongs, but you have to read about 25 earlier, 100+ word comments to get the joke, so it’s not really worth the trouble. Rufus T. Firefly, doing his best work on an empty stage, playing to a vacant auditorium.
Say what?!
Yap-yap, ya had me then ya lost me, Rufie.
Get back to me when you’ve caught up with the many RF3Ds.
Hey, I’ve listened to plenty. Still can’t believe you landed Driesen. Which reminds me, that’s another book I’ve got to read!
Will you purchase it and read it?
He’s going to purchase it, read it, and show it to your bunny rabbits.
Bummer. I gave ‘em back to Lenny.
Just as long as he doesn’t call it George. It already has a name, er.. title.
“George?!” What a dorky name. Who would name a rabbit, “George,” let alone a human?
I’m guessing the same kind of people who’d name their kid “Fred” or some such.
Nobody’s that cruel.
Fred?! How ridiculous; it’s almost as silly as going by Fritz.
Or Tink?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JlVqfC8-UI&t=0m18s
You’re abominable.
And I have a brother named Fred, so watch what you say about my parents.
How many of us kids had read Steinbeck prior to seeing that cartoon as children? I was rather confused when I finally stumbled onto the “original” work as a teen.
Yes. I will.
Rufus T. Firefly – tooting his own horn since the 20th century.
And loving it!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1c4QZGQw5o
Here I thought the (allegedly) many ladies who loved the Fiat did some tooting.
I’m really not enjoying all the ribbing, Ruf, but you’re just making it too easy today.
Go ahead and enjoy it Eric. He does, so you might as well too!
Quick—what’s the sound of one hand clapping?
Lisa Simpson.
+ Dead Putting Society
I never went through this kind of ribbing, even in school!
That’s because it’s for her pleasure, MCF. Her pleasure.
Oh! I’ve been wearing them inside out all these years.
Who wants pleasure??
Usually not Germans.
We find pleasure in ways you would not understand, mein frau! Or maybe you would understand, which could be a problem.
Look out Tink—it’s a trap!
Yes…yes it is! :-0
It is ALWAYS a trap, so my mama said.
Mama?
Of course there is a Muppet Bohemian Rhapsody starring you.
And that’s not all…
Coming to a theater near you, repeatedly since 7:38 p.m.!
…and the follow-up funny is ruined, ’cause the last post had the working link and was the one that was supposed to remain! :-/
Poor, poor, goozer. Don’t you hate when your punch line is ruined?
Yeah, I see that. At 10:29, when I posted my comment above, it was all still showing, including the two attempts that failed.
I did the deleting. I thought I was following his instructions. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa!
Well, I’d say RTFM, but in your case I’ll have to say search on YouTube to WTFV.
Mitt Romney writing Obamas ads for him. The GOP deserves the ass kicking it’s gonna get.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2012/02/01/romney_im_not_concerned_about_the_very_poor.html
Could be wrong, but guessing all this negativity will not help when eventually reapplying for the cheerleader squad.
Steph,
You do know it was taken out of context, right?
It’s true, the Dems will use it big time in the Fall, and Romney will have to deal with it.
Though I don’t think it is a killer.
Especially when comparing the donations he has given.
And, yes, it is a facepalm. But I am not sure how big of a deal it will be in Oct.
Also, just who ARE you rooting for?
You seem to be actually gleeful at the problems the GOP field is facing.
It’s one thing to say I give up but you seem like you will be happy to see the GOP go down in flames in an Obama re-election.
She is. I’m not sure how to describe it but it is some sort of sadistic cheeriness; an imagined payback for Perry not winning the nomination. Even though I don’t think any of 3donia’s regulars actually had a chance to cast a single vote. Although she might not blame us specifically, it seems that in her mind we are the representation of non-conservative, GOP-establishment, back-stabbing, false god worshipping… I’m really not sure how to describe it. Anyway, we’re wrong. She’s right. Obama winning will prove that to her. Validate her in some sense.
At least, that is what I am getting from what she writes/wrote.
Anyway, as for Mitt he should have known better. Is this unfair yes but one of my favorite writers has this to say, which is part of the reason I’m not a Mitt fan:
“Some orators can spin provocative thesis statements into soaring speeches, but Romney is not one of those orators. He’s also not a blogger for a free-market think tank. He’s a political candidate. No one should have to explain to him that the rules are different for those, particularly when they hail from the Republican Party.”
http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=49235
I thought the whole article was an interesting observation. Romney is totally right, the amount we spend on the truly poor is miniscule and should those programs ever spring a leak it is an easy fix. Hopefully he’ll be given the opportunity to make a strong case about it, but knowing the media I have my doubts.
It was a face-palm comment.
I’m still facepalming over it.
It is a shame, because it should not be.
I know.
>>Validate her in some sense.>>
Well, if it’s any consolation, her gleeful and/or adamantly insider predictions in the 2008 presidential and Perry for GOP’s 2012 presidential candidate never came true. Keep the streak alive!!!
Anything the media can either twist or take out of context – they will! Romney was not my first choice, but dammit now it’s all about stopping the destruction of this country.
“the amount we spend on the truly poor is miniscule and should those programs ever spring a leak it is an easy fix.”
Hmm. I think the amount spent on the truly poor is huge. The amount that’s left over, after falling “Plinko-style” through the fingers of bureaucrats, is what’s miniscule. I’m not sure where I read it; but, even years ago, the amount given to the recipient was only 5% of the total amount given by taxpayers. That percentage may have changed, by now. Really makes a strong case for more community involvement and less feral gov’t.
The media will not be in the GOP candidate’s corner, no matter what is said. Barack Obama said hundreds of things dumber and scarier than this prior to his election, but there was no attention paid it. Hell, the L.A. Times still hasn’t released his speech from a dinner honoring a Palestinian terrorist fund raiser. No matter who the GOP candidate is; Perry, Romney or Reagan, the media will twist and turn every word he says any way it can.
It’s not a fair playing field and that won’t change between now and November.
I second what he said.
Dick Morris gives a good explanation of why Mitt clobbered Newt.
http://thehill.com/opinion/columnists/dick-morris/207809-how-mitt-suckered-newt-
Mitt played the bullfighter with Newt as the bull.
Interesting, I hope his campaign has an equally effective plan in place for the general election.
Me too.
Now the question remains.
Will Newt continue to take the bait. His ‘concession’ speech hinted at yes and no. He might get back on message but his failure to congratulate Mitt and his calling this a “two-man race” hinted that he might continue making this a personal one-man fight versus the establishment.
Because that tactic worked wonders in Florida.
Kinda-sorta, but if not for Adelson’s money Gingrich could not afford to go negative, so how did Romney’s folks know Adelson would donate the dough?
Good point.
But Newt still helped Romney out.
Popgun Romney. In your heart you know he’s right(heh).
Obviously the Peruvian natives don’t like environmentalist whackos either!

We just have to learn why they hate us.
Jokes aside, they’re savages. Their “honor” isn’t worth a bucket of warm piss. Just because they’re some obscure nomadic tribe, doesn’t give them an excuse for stealing and killing. And everyone treating them like some herd of animals to be observed only encourages this behavior. It’s also an injustice to the man who was murdered. Either drive them out or make treaty with them, but don’t treat them like f**king toddlers.
You just don’t get it, David. It’s our fault (white men descended from Western Europeans) that they hate us. They were a peaceful, idyllic peoples with no knowledge of “murder,” “war” or “prejudice” until contacted by evil, white men. Just like the Sioux, Ugandans and Afghanis.
Your slander of them may momentarily help assuage the guilt you are obviously trying to avoid, but until you understand that the blood of their violence is on your hands, as you are the direct cause, you will never, truly be happy. I suggest a penance of buying really expensive Patagonia brand clothing and camping gear and spending a month living near them, so you can better understand their superior knowledge of humanity.
A lot of people forget that white people were once the peaceful, idyllic tribes men/women with no knowledge of murder, war and prejudice. It was those evil Mongols, Romans, and Turks that turned us into what we are today!
Sniff…it’s not our fault!!
Why did they hate us?
Just how much is a bucket of warm piss worth, David?
Coffee and Krullers here for the Thursday a.m. crowd. I think teacher slept in this morning!
Here’s a wake up song for Eric, Goozer, Tink and the Sgt. Major!

In spite of my German/Irish heritage, that’s way too early for me. Come to think of it, it’s way too early at any time. I don’t drink.
On a lighter note, here’s the perfect Valentine’s Day gift: http://z6.co.uk/artwork
For you boxing fans, Angelo Dundee passed away, yesterday: http://z6.co.uk/dundee
Two things that go together; ein Stein und ein Fraulein.
I would like to make this the official State Song for the Grand Duchey, or whatever it is, of Threedonia!
Here’s a teaser for a Super Bowl commercial.
