First! I’m going back to bed.
That’s just wrong! Wake up to go use the facilities and log on to gain an unfair advantage!

This looks like a good read! How people can turn, eh?
Obama peddling snake oil, disguised as “understanding,” to the very class he wants to eliminate: http://z6.co.uk/lieslieslies
Obama to the cheering masses, “Blah, blah, blah!”
Yeah, “blah, blah, blah, ya stupid sheep!”

I review the Netflix series “Lilyhammer” today at The American Spectator: http://spectator.org/archives/2012/02/21/lilyhammer-a-stranger-in-a-nic
Apologies to Rufus. I note that Johnny’s essentially a scumbag.
Good review, Lars. Kind of makes me wish that I had Netflix.
Very interesting. I’ll have to check it out.
Excellent review. The Mrs. and I started watching last week and very bummed there aren’t many more episodes to watch.
Nice job, Lars. We just finished watching it as well. Anyone know if they are doing another season?
Happy birthday to the great Kelsey Grammer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsyXV-B3uGk
…and to the awesome Alan Rickman: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6I_8HXcO54
That was a good clip! “no more merciful beheadings . . .and CANCEL CHRISTMAS!!”
OK TWO of the finest actors have a birthday today? Dayum!
Where’s the coffee?
Sorry. I’ll get right to it. Dark roast with COLD half and half, yes?
You poor whipped bastard. Send her to Starbucks why don’tcha?
Not whipped. Just friendly.
And, I know who my father is!
You’re a more forgiving man than I. Congratulations on that dad thing, too.
The “poor” thing must go, too. “Broke,” but not “poor.” I like to think that I’m rich and abundantly blessed, which trumps “poor” any day, if by “poor” you mean poverty.
I’ve got the coffee. Durn Sgt. Major Schultz, why was it not ready? If you ever want a promotion to Sgt. Colonel, you’ll have to tighten up the ship when I’m tending to other business. My apologies for sounding angry. It’s Tuesday and still cold here so I’m a grump!
Tighten up the ship? I have a hard enough time tightening up my belt!
Not a problem. It’s hard to get fired up when Floyd fuzzies the margin of fairness with his claim as “first” for the day, and Tink and INFJ are missing. I mean whassup girls?
Happy birthday to Kelsey Grammer and the great Alan Rickman:

Higher gas prices going to negatively affect Obama’s election chances? Not if the media has anything to say about it; an older analysis (just last year) but still on the nose.

More ammo to use when blue collar Dems complain about high gas prices! Also enjoyed the Newsbusted video at the side. Jodi Miller lands all of her punches!
Thank a democrat, oh yeah
Thank a democrat, oh yeah
Thank a democrat, when you can’t get to work
Oh yeah! Boom sheboom, boom
Oh yeah!
Sorry. I just felt like bursting into song!
Not sure if anyone here has been reading/watching the news about what happened with the stolen and forged documents from the Heartland Institute. But it appears as if the culprit has been found who then proceeded to give a non-apology and some interesting analysis from Institute itself.

I’m familiar with the Heartland Institute; but, this is the first I’ve heard about this scandal.
“Most importantly, global warming has long enjoyed the patronage of statist politicians, who value the creation of a “problem” that demands immediate, unreasoning action by centralized government.” Must have been taken from the mission statement of the Democratic Party.
At least, with the Veritas Project, you know it’s the truth. They’re not out there forging memos. They don’t have to.
One last curiosity, this news escaped me and it appears pretty much everyone:
http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/02/obama_perverts_ex-im_bank_into_competitor_for_domestic_banks.html
I’m not a banker, but Obama has apparently completely re-written the charter to use the power of the bank (intended to smooth out trade by offering a way for a buyer of US goods to safely pay if the economic conditions of the home country are, to put it politely, complex) which explicitly had restrictions so it would not be a competitor to domestic banks, to make it a player in domestic trade.
This all seems as if it is within the President’s powers, but honestly I have no idea. And the changes talked about don’t seem like very good ideas, simply another way for the government to control goods, the economy and ultimately us. Any bankers/economists here that might explain better?
Everyday with Obiwan in charge is a new offering in terror. I really think he stays awake nights coming up with new crap to ruin America! Really!
This is a couple of years old; but, it’s still worth seeing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7GFo1U5kew
A few months ago, we read about a fellow on a college campus who burned an American flag. Here’s how the VFW handled the same situation. Kudos to the VFW Commander; I might not have been so polite.
Haha. Pretty funny. Wrong, but still funny.
Dennis Miller to people who burn the flag: “If you really want to make a statement, then be original. Wrap your head in the flag, and then desecrate it with a large-caliber bullet hole.”
Rufus, if I read one of your recent posts correctly, you’ve been out of work for five months (hey, we have something in common). Here’s some networking tips for you, courtesy of the fine folks at Ranger UP. A number of tips will be listed on the right side of the screen. Pay particular attention to point #4! You can thank me later.

FOX 5 local station on their late news show always has a “Rant” section near the end of the newscast, where people have called in or e-mailed complaints about various things from politics to trash pickup. Last night a guy had called in a “rant” about Las Vegas newest attraction, “The Mob Museum.” His complaint was that one of the biggest, if not “the” biggest character who should have been included in the Mob Museum, should have been Harry Reid, “because he was here for all of it!” The Newscaster was almost rolling on the floor on that one.
I saw that clip, and it included a blurb from a former taxi driver about “long hauling” and why it should be illegal. Is “long hauling” a nice way of saying “the scenic route?”
Yes it is. Taxi drivers here are well renowned for taking their passengers from the airport the “long way” to their hotels. Sometimes it can be justified by the long way actually being quicker, though, because of heavy traffic routes.
We all know about congressional “earmarks;” are you familiar with “administrative earmarks?” This is how presidents, both Democrat and Republican, reward their congressional lackeys: http://z6.co.uk/hypocriticalidiots
Speaking of people converting to Christianity, check this out: http://news2.onlinenigeria.com/latest-addition/135393-abdullah-al-sabah-kuwaiti-royal-prince-converts-into-christianity.html
Wonderful if totally true about his lineage in the royal family.
PJ Media is going to submit some of their reporting to the Pulitzer Committee, hoping to win a “Pulitzer.” Can’t really see any advantage in that; but, that’s just my take.
PJ Media Legal Editor J. Christian Adams and Hans von Spakovsky wanted to see the resumes of all 113 career attorneys hired by Eric Holder’s DOJ. I suppose it’s no surprise; but, imagine if John Ashcroft had done this. Things is, will the new Republican president clean house?
Here’s the link to the list of investigative reports: http://pjmedia.com/every-single-one-pj-medias-investigation-of-justice-department-hiring-practices/
It’s worth the read, if even if you only read one of them. I’ve just started the first paper, and it’s good.
