More like suicide….was he wrong to do what he did? Athens gave him every way out of this fate,but he refused to bend.Is that not like Jesus?Comment.
Well, the biggest difference is that I believe Jesus’ death and resurrection was ordained by God from the fall and not as a result of civil disobedience.
Socrates died for his own principles. Jesus died for my sin.
Then there’s that whole resurrection business….

Socrates (at least as Plato depicted him) was a noble soul in the Classical style. He died rather than live inconsistently.
Jesus died like a warrior defending His family, laying down His life for others. The two cases are not equivalent.

I did have a HOSTESS Twinkie over the weekend, it tasted terrible. And the cherry pie was way too sweet. The only thing I moderately enjoyed was the Ho-Ho, so I had three. Did the recipes or my tastes change?
The cold still lives! It’s like malaria…never goes away!
Twinkies were never my favorite anyway. Susie Qs FTW. Lots of chocolate cake and tons of creme filling! I actually think that a lot of baked goods these days are made and stored refrigerated way too long before they hit the shelves. Nearly everything baked is dry as a brick by the time you buy it. That goes for bread especially, but all Hostess stuff I’ve bought in recent years has not been very fresh!
Cherry pie never too sweet. Get new taste buds.
