Dir: Sidney Gilliat Cast: Trevor Howard, Alastair Sim, Sally Gray, Rosamund John, Leo Genn, Judy Campbell, Megs Jenkins, George Woodbridge. TV-PG. 12:00 PM EST. TCM.
I’ve not seen this one but Leonard Maltin gives it 4 stars and calls it a “must see classic” and it gets universally high marks as a suspense movie. Also on tomorrow are prior CPODs The Kennel Murder Case (6:30 AM), The Postman Always Ring Twice (2:00 PM), Strangers on a Train (6:00 PM) and The Unsinkable Molly Brown (8:00 PM).

This is a great British film. Sim is great and brings some comedy to it with his sarcastic wit, that contrasts with the woodeness of the lead actors. I saw it on Netflix streaming awhile back, don’t know if it’s still on there.
I’ll have to check this out. Love Alastair Sim, the best Scrooge ever.
