I watched it, too. It was adorable. Did you look at the faces or the beautiful costumes? Or the shoes? Or the background sets? For me, it was all the Bieber!! You?
Not neither!!! I’m just continuing the stupid research from the article Floyd posted a few ago. You remember the one he used as an excuse to put that huge photo of what’s-her-name and her huge whatchamacallits on page one. (Same ploy Hugh Hefner used to legitimize his prono magazine. “I only buy it for the articles.”)
As the man said about his Playboy subscription, “I read it for the same reason I read National Geographic. To see pictures of beautiful places I’ll never go.”
Labor disputes led dancers at San Francisco’s Lusty Lady to form the first exotic dancers union (SEIU Local 790) in 1997; the club later became an employee-owned cooperative. Employees were paid minimum wage and attained sick days and other benefits, as well.
Camelot’s Sarah said such a system strips strippers of incentive.
“I made the most money when I’d come in negative [from fees]; they motivate you. … An hourly wage can set the expectation that the money is going to be there regardless of how nice you are,” Sarah said. “If there wasn’t a competitive spirit, business could get bad, you could stop tanning, stop watching your weight, stop being nice … that costs everybody money.”
Those problems have plagued the unionized Lusty Lady over the past 15 years. While companies like Spearmint Rhino spawned multi-million empires with 20 chains using independent contractors, Lusty Lady’s revenues dropped after it unionized. Infighting reached a head in 2006 when several male dancers complained that several women did not show the professionalism required of a stripper—in a word, they were fat—and were costing the club business. The club is now in danger of closing.
Ramirez is exactly right. This is all about getting everybody to agree on one tax increase, and once they’ve got their foot in the door, they can raise taxes all they want. Once we agree that raising taxes on the rich is okay, they’ll argue that “now we’re just haggling over price”. Am I the only one who noticed that first the Left was screaming about the greed of the 1%, and now they’re saying that “we need to raise taxes on the top 2%”? We can’t open the floodgates of compromise, and then expect to close them again whenever we want.

What a guy. He joined the Catholic Church at age 60, the culmination of a life’s journey without a religion.
‘I joined the Catholic Church, because I felt, somebody’s trying to tell me something,’ he realized. ‘Now, people say I converted. I didn’t convert to Catholicism, because I wasn’t anything to convert from. I just joined the Catholic Church.’
If you never saw Ken Burn’s “Jazz”,you ought to.Dave Brubeck was one of the true stars of that series,as he was one of the greatest stars of American music.
Just a Commentarama plug for part 1 of a 4-part review series. It is the Christmas (and Chanukah) season and who better to spend it with than John McClane?
Well, OK! A great re-visit to a favorite movie. I love Bruce Willis and the underrated Bonnie Bedelia (see Presumed Innocent, my kind of “chick flick.”)
I’ll note to watch for parts 2-4 of your series but would appreciate reminders here. THX!
*knock*knock* Hello? Anyone up yet?
Magnus took our Eastern time zone contingent with him.
TWSS?
“The spirit is willing, but the flesh is spongy and bruised.”
Sounds like the last day of the Twinkie supply.
Good thing the Ding Dong inventory is well stocked.
All right, I watched the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last night. Wanna make something of it?
That’ll put horns on your helmet.
Better than a mug of mead.
Floyd…shhhhh…ixnay on the orns-hay, on the elmet-hay! Lars may go ballistic!
Cookie for Floyd. If we are going with the theme, it would be these: http://www.makemecake.me/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/P7153378eps.jpg
I watched it, too. It was adorable. Did you look at the faces or the beautiful costumes? Or the shoes? Or the background sets? For me, it was all the Bieber!! You?
Don’t answer her, Lars. It’s a trap.

Allahu Admiral Akhbar!
As the man said about his Playboy subscription, “I read it for the same reason I read National Geographic. To see pictures of beautiful places I’ll never go.”
Lawl! I never heard that one before.
I watched Chopped on the Food Network. Now, if we put those two together, we might really have something.
I thought “Chopped” was a motorcycle show?
That’s American Chopper. Not a Teutul to be found on among the Foodies.
I thought this was the American chopper.
Zed’s dead, baby. Zed’s dead.
Très Butch!
… a plethora of prepositions there, eh?
Looks like a foodie to me. *o^
I recently saw a girl that looked just like that. And I couldn’t decide who that insulted more.
This thread is useless without pictures. Plus, I’d like to help TCR continue her…ummmmmm…research.
Not one of the choices in the study. You want to
screwskew the data, don’t you?“Not one of the choices in the study.” ummmmmmmm…which VS show were you watching last night then? :-O
Sometimes it’s necessary to massage the figures a bit to get the desired results.
I’m gonna miss Hostess Sno-Balls when they’re gone.
They’re just low class ho-ho’s dressed in pink.
At least they aren’t twinkies…not a ding dong in sight.
Forget Twinkies: Unions even make strip clubs unprofitable
Yes, unions destroy everything they touch!
Priceless parody tune — thankee kindly, Floyd!
Yep! Glad tidings!

Coffee and krullers, and maybe a wee bit of bacon!
Yeah right, a wee bit of bacon is never enough for this crowd. Thanks for the coffee, Fritzie!
Maybe. (Semantics) *o^
It would be enough if everyone weas satisfied with a single strip of meat!

TY, some where it’s Monday. But did pull off my first evah link and block quote comment above. And I still have hair!
I can’t figure out how to use the linker here & don’t know what most of the other tags are for. I have to use a different site. FWIW.

That’s not Bruce Willis , I mean come on, he’s got hair!
Burt Reynolds spent most of his acting career with no hair, but had the best looking rug money could buy. I’m sure Bruce can afford hair too!
As I tell all my bald men: it’s a secondary male characteristic. Very masculine. Muy setsy.
We all really know, Demi made him pull his hair out by the handfuls.
Yes we are.
I’ll try to remember to mention the rest of the reviews. Die Hard 2 should be next Wednesday with the third and fourth films early next year.
