Schoolhouse Rock, in my book still the best TV series ever. Damn shame ABC’s spine shrunk as the 1970s drifted into the rearview. For Threedonia’s homeschool families, do you possibly show them to your kids?

Heck yes. We have the DVD.
The Little Fireflies know ‘em all by heart. Their Catholic grade school teachers used them to augment lessons. Also, they were taught to recite the state capitals, Presidents, planets, famous scientists and their discoveries… all with song.

I knew it was you, in spite of the pencil thin mustache and the glasses!
My New Years resolution is to be more amorphous and purple. Also to cut down on sweets. In pursuit of the latter goal I’ve instructed the bartender to stop putting marischino cherries in my manhattans.
I use them in class.
Unfortunately, there was also a wacky teacher at my kids’ school who showed “An Inconvenient Truth.” I still don’t understand the correlation with her Spanish language class, but I imagine she has some regrets now that Al has revealed himself to be a philandering adulterer who just took $100 million in middle eastern oil money to sell Current TV one day prior to falling into the Dems new, higher tax rate.
Yep. The kiddos love them and Mrs Fox regularly adds showings of them to the school lineup.
Can’t get her to show them Clyde Frog, though. Creeps her out and gives ‘em nightmares.
Now I have to go look up Clyde Frog. I’m a bit scared already.
Clyde Frog belongs to Cartman on the popular show South Park…unless there is another I am unfamiliar with.

CF was a Kermit knockoff in the 70′s that focused on safety and other good stuff. Ah, that mixed thrill of being in elementary school and seeing that huge TV being wheeled into the room, only to have Clyde Frog awaken on the screen.
*shudder*
