JimmyC posted this in the OT earlier… worthy of its own thread as he noted.

“You incinerated two of our cities.”
Potential answers:
“What do you think a land invasion would’ve done?”
“The Chinese might say would say we stopped a few million short.”
“You said you were willing to die to the last man, woman, and child. Just wanted to test that.”
“You started it.”
Yeah, that line had me a bit wary, too, but given that the overall plot is focused on the atrocities the Japanese committed, I’m not too worried about liberal cheap shots.
but it would be a line a Japanese survivor would say so it is in character. The key will be the response to that line.
Agree with Floyd.
Actually more than two cities. More people died in the fire bombing of Tokyo than died at Hiroshima or Nagasaki…but the bleeding hearts forget all about that. Apparently when you do it with a single bomb it becomes more horrible.
In the 70′s the Confederate Air Force would end their annual “Airsho” with their B-29 flying over the crowd followed by a huge pyrotechnic mushroom cloud. This stopped when the Japanese complained through official channels about it. Note, they never complained about the act that began the show.
The A Bomb, made in America, tested in Japan.
They probably snuck into the Airsho

“John Wayno!”
You are definitely clicking on all cylinders today.
Wonder if New Mexico has an A bomb licence plate?
MacArthur certainly had an imperial aura.He once referred to Eisenhower as “the best clerk I ever had”.
