No prose, no poetry! I’m too pooped to produce, or something like that. This lousy, neverending Thanksgiving flu still has me up everynight coughing my arse off. I have lost 20 pounds since this stuff started up, but I would not recommend it as a viable weight loss program!
Hey cool, it’s like an extra birthday surprise! I got Singin’ In The Rain for my birthday from the kids! To keep them interested in the big number at the end, I looked up some stuff about Cyd Charisse. She was from Amarillo and had polio as a kid. She was also one of Kelly’s favorite dance partners, despite their height difference. It’s interesting to watch the choreography when they are together, they put a lot of effort in to making her not seem to tower over him.
Thanks for all the wishes yesterday! It was a good day just hanging out with my family. I’m gonna miss my avatar though.

SO, you’re following Helm’s suggestion that the use of affirmity action is the standard here?
I’m using Zen and Bill… first is what it is — whatever the meaning of that is.
I will use that as my koan today. first is what it is – first is what it is – first is —- — – zzzzzzzz.

From the brother e-mail bag:
A teacher goes around her class asking each of the kids what do they need at home?
Joey says “A computer.” The teacher replies, “That would be very useful.”
Kimmy says “A new lawn mower.”, and gets a similar response.
Little Johnny pops up and says “At my house we don’t need anything!”
The teacher asks him to think again carefully, as everybody needs something.
Little Johnny replies, “No I’m sure. When Obama was re-elected, I remember my dad saying, ‘Well, that’s the last f***ing thing we needed’.
