I saw the band, and I was dreading the post because I hate the “Starship” (the bottom circle of hell is a 8′ X 8′ room with “Jefferson Airplane” and Grace Slick warbling, “White Rabbit” for eternity), but then I saw the song and remembered that they do have one, great tune, this one!
I remember the tour; supposedly women who could provide proof they were named, Jane were admitted free.
Yup, the only song by this band I’ll ever voluntarily listen to as well. Next door to the aforementioned room in hell is another room playing “We Built This City.” Generational shifts and all.
I don’t know if they’re in The Hall, but penning, “We Built This City” should be the equivalent of betting on baseball, regarding revocation.
I’m too lazy to confirm, but they’ve gotta be in the Hall. Wouldn’t be surprised if Jann Wenner has a special room where there’s multi-media exhibit of a circle tongue bath with him and the band. Yeah, go to bed with that image, Threedonia.
You were dreading the post because it was so hard to scan down the couple of inches to see the name of the song. :/
True story. That’s the way it scrolled on my phone. Actually, I saw the group, then your snippet of lyrics.
I may be many things, most of them deplorable, but I am not a liar!
Purgatory??
And to think that Grace Slick was once good-looking.
