33 years ago two days ago… perhaps the greatest sports moment on television, and I care not about hockey.

Eruzione & Co., specialists putting the United in the US of A. Oh, for the days of 3 network, 1-2 public broadcasting and 1-2 local UHF channels, especially back when hating commies was cooler than ever.
This should have been scene one of the show The Americans…and watch the slow burn of the female lead.
Nice! Maybe show Carter and a similar reaction, too. Really hope they flash back to it at some point.
That’s pretty much how many channels we had in 1980.And you tell the kids nowadays that!
It’s amazing! In the early 80s there were still maybe 5 channels in most TV venues, and you could always find something worth watching. I now have around 400 channels and can’t find anything but crap on TV!
Except on the Encore channels???
(I found them all my my lonesome and only had to look at the Uverse channel guide brochure once!)
Sometimes even Encore has nothing worthy of a watch. My problem is all the totally inane so-called “reality” shows. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this passed off as a new reality show with a new guest star each week!

Yeah,Fritz, and at midnight the test pattern would come on,after the National Anthem.
Yup! When I was a teenager, we did have one independent station in Denver that showed old movies till about 2 am. It was the go-to channel when all else failed!
Another crack in the Berlin Wall. Smack!
Titian,”Madonna of the Rabbit”

Sweet. The image of the shepherd is Frederico Gonzaga,Duke of Mantua and patron of Titian. It was painted for(guess who?)Gonzaga.
Gonzaga looks to be a loyal shepherd.

He looks just dandy!
Titian was good with dogs.
Bye bye Russia

On the one hand, they want to curb smoking and drinking, and on the other, the government rakes in the money from selling those products.
At least the peepul don’t have to drink shoe polish anymore, thank you, President Reagan.
A buck a pack for smokes…Putin’s really serious!

Gotta love Andrew. Few are so skilled at being simultaneously politically incorrect and common sense correct.
Good one … it can replace wrestling; it can be called “gurgling.”
(And Klavan has another book out. Yay.)
Love to see that Medal Ceremony!

Oh,the humanity!
Ole Bag Mccaskill, you remember her, is whining about the sequester, blaming Boehner for no budget. Really? Chris Wallace roughed her up a little this morning. I can’t keep up with the Democrat slimy, slithering snakes.
I misspelled Mac-Ass-kill. Sorry.
Welcome home, soldier!
Kinda dusty in here this morning.
Dad’s are beautiful. The world needs more like this one.
Hey, in case TCR is too modest to post it again, her TCRetta was born yesterday!! Congratulations Granny! May the Lord bless yall’s family!
You’re a peach, Tracy! It’s a perfect miracle. Next time I visit my BFF in Dallas, I’ll include a trip down to Austin to see her daughter who lives there and I’m gonna give you a big hug!!
Congratulations! And don’t forget to link the new Barbies.
Like these??
(I’ll be pulling the graveyard shift at Denny’s soon.
)
Fashionista Ultimate Closet?? Sign me up!
When are you going to visit the new little one?
Kudos Grandma!
Coffee, krullers and convoluted!
One’s a drink. One’s a snack. The other is a very complicated description of the US Government.
Convoluted…mind of Harry Reid.
Lance Bass,Tiffany,Village People…cool

“Keep An Open Mouth”…a bit San Francisco.
Hmm… I do not like Miracle Whip. And the Village People singing a song titled “Open Your Mouth” really makes me not want to buy it… Because, contra Seinfeld, there’s everything wrong with that!
Like Heaven Above Me…
