  The funny thing about Kon Tiki is that the experiment was based on a complete mistake. DNA testing of Polynesians shows that they are not descended from South Americans. All Heyerdahl proved was that the trip was do-able, if you’re as dumb as a Norwegian.

  I’ve seen the real Kon Tiki, by the way. They have it in a museum in Oslo, floating in a chunk of fiberglass ocean.
