Pacific Rim comes out today! My inner-twelve-year-old is singing a Hallelujah chorus!

    • JimmyC

Going to see it tomorrow. Looks good, despite indications that it’s got the same environmentalist guilt-tripping that Del Toro infused Hellboy 2 with.

  • Scott M.

Yes,this is a case about race

    http://www.freep.com/article/20130711/NEWS07/307110066/Zimmerman-trial-Judge-considers-lesser-charges-in-Trayvon-Martin-murder-case

Under Florida law, Zimmerman should have never been charged with anything. He was defending his life against a brutal assault.

That sign reminds me of all those obnoxious bumper stickers I see that say ” War is Terrorism”. Which only makes sense if you don’t have a clue what the definitions of war or terrorism are.

    • -fritz-

Agreed! The two guys above at least are demonstrating peacefully! After the camera shot, they probably beat the crap out of the cameraman! :D

  • -fritz-

Thank you, Jimmy, for the “C” word of the day…

    Coffee, krullers and clueless…camera hogs!

  • LOVE this foto. Turbo, you are *killing* with these.

Hey gang…I bring to you a prayer request. Dad du Wank is out of town (but is on his way back right now), and I am here with Mom du Wank, who has been very poorly the past few days. I am worried sick. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers today.

  • Thanks, everyone. This truly, truly helps. I feel pretty useless here.

Your daily dose of hilarity: Greg Gutfeld and Andy Levy debate the SyFy movie “Sharknado” on Twitter.

CNBC did its annual study of the best and worst states for business, and take a wild guess which party leads 13 out of the top 14 of them?

If we’ve learned anything from Obama’s handling of the economy in the last five years, it’s this: you can have a strong, prosperous, growing economy, or you can have Leftism. You can’t have both.

Rev. Wright was right — God damn America.

    It. MUST. Burn.

    • -fritz-

Crap! That decision is about as long as the original piece of garbage bill they vomited out in the first place! How they can call any of this Constitutional in the first place is beyond me! Especially since no one ever read the whole thing to begin with! Fire the whole f-ing bunch that voted “For” the damned thing!

From the Goatherd brother mail bag:

      Wal-Mart vs. The Morons

      1. Americans spend $36,000,000 at Wal-Mart Every hour of every day.

      2. This works out to $20,928 profit every minute!

      3. Wal-Mart will sell more from January 1 to St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th) than Target sells all year.

      4. Wal-Mart is bigger than Home Depot + Kroger + Target +Sears + Costco + K-Mart combined.

      5. Wal-Mart employs 1.6 million people, is the world’s largest private employer, and most speak English.

      6. Wal-Mart is the largest company in the history of the world.

      7. Wal-Mart now sells more food than Kroger and Safeway combined, and keep in mind they did this in only fifteen years.

      8. During this same period, 31 big supermarket chains sought bankruptcy.

      9. Wal-Mart now sells more food than any other store in the world.

      10. Wal-Mart has approx 3,900 stores in the USA of which 1,906 are Super Centers; this is 1,000 more than it had five years ago.

      11. This year 7.2 billion different purchasing experiences will occur at Wal-Mart stores. (Earth’s population is approximately 6.5 Billion.)

      12. 90% of all Americans live within fifteen miles of a Wal-Mart.

You may think that I am complaining, but I am really laying the ground work for suggesting that MAYBE we should hire the guys who run Wal-Mart to fix the economy.

This should be read and understood by all Americans… Democrats, Republicans, EVERYONE!!

To President Obama and all 535 voting members of the Legislature

It is now official that the majority of you are corrupt and ineffective:

a.. The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775. You have had 237 years to get it right and it is broke.

b.. Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 77 years to get it right and it is broke.

c.. Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 74 years to get it right and it is broke.

d.. War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 48 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to “the poor” and they only want more.

e.. Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 47 years to get it right and they are broke.

f.. Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 42 years to get it right and it is broke.

g.. The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 35 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure.

You have FAILED in every “government service” you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars.AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM??

      Can I get an Amen?

      • -fritz-

        Yes…Amen!

Add this one…43 of our Presidents at least made a cursory attempt to appear Christian as befits a great nation which has always professed up till about the last 20 years, to be based on Judeo-Christian beliefs. Now we get to #44 and he says he is a Christian, but I call “Bullhocky” on his Muslim a$$! He’s no more a Christian than was Adolph Hitler or Stalin and any or all of the socialists and their evil brood of vipers!

It’s a little long at an hour, but it’s worth it just for the historical value. And in light of the NSA and other government data mining operations, it’s downright frightening. To my friends, who continue to post on facebook, it’s a lesson I pray never comes to haunt you. If you can’t afford the whole hour, just the last five minutes will give you the flavor. DON’T TALK!

    • -fritz-

Our government has become our enemy! We have no prisoners, though upon which we can wreak reprisals. We do not have POWS. All we can do is shut up! What the hell has our country become?

      • kevin s

After WW2 we were the richest nation in the history of the world. Starting with LBJ the looting began and has gone on,uninterrupted for 40+ years and there’s still so much wealth. I grew up in the 50s outside Newark NJ. My mother would take me on the bus to the Newark department stores. We rode through black working class and middle class neighborhoods that worked, had families. Then Johnson came and bulldozed those communities and erected the high crime rises. And then Johnson started welfare and broke the black family structure and created the feral underclass we have today. Now, they’ve turned their attention to creating the same for the white working and middle class and they’re succeeding. Where did our country go? The WASPs who ran the country for 300 years abdicated in the 60s and walked away and gave it over to the hustlers like Johnson.

        • Loyal Goatherd

…..and gave it over to the hustlers like Johnson.

And worse than Johnson that continue to plague us even today. But we we were warned and not enough have answered this call. Wake up America!

“Now it doesn’t require expropriation or confiscation of private property or business to impose socialism on a people. What does it mean whether you hold the deed to the — or the title to your business or property if the government holds the power of life and death over that business or property? And such machinery already exists. The government can find some charge to bring against any concern it chooses to prosecute.” Reagan every bit as much a prophet as a statesman!

      • Loyal Goatherd

“The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation and foreign commerce.”
        https://secure.downsizedc.org/etp/enumerated-powers/

        http://tenthamendmentcenter.com/historical-documents/united-states-constitution/thirty-enumerated-powers/#.Ud9i1fmsh8E

-fritz-, we can guard giving them anything to use against us and demand with the same breath that they follow the constitution. Senator you want government run healthcare, that is not a power you have, you must want to amend the constitution to acquire this power by consent of the governed. Good luck with that, I don’t support it. Make your case, Senator, you will need a vote of two-thirds of both the House of Representatives and the Senate followed by a ratification of three-fourths of the various state legislatures. So it had better be a really good idea!

The illegal acts of congress must be nullified by the states, representatives forcibly retired and the constitutional republic restored.

        • -fritz-

That’s awfully time consuming, especially when, as in Nevada, the Legislature meets every two years, and it just went out of session a month ago. Me telling Harry Reid that he doesn’t have the Constitutional right to enact Obamacare will do nothing thanks to Justice Roberts gracious move!

What I’m saying is that how do a group of “little” people make themselves heard when none of those who should listen, don’t give a crap what they think?

    • -fritz-

BTW, we could really use a good retread of the old House UnAmerican Activities Committee.

The House Committee on Un-American Activities (HUAC) was an investigative committee of the United States House of Representatives. It was created in 1938 to investigate alleged disloyalty and subversive activities on the part of private citizens, public employees, and those organizations suspected of having Communist ties. In 1969, the House changed the committee’s name to “House Committee on Internal Security”. When the House abolished the committee in 1975,[1] its functions were transferred to the House Judiciary Committee.
