Merry Christmas Eve to all Threedonians. Even Barry.
Merry Christmas eve to you as well, Lars, and to everyone else, the same! Have a wonderful Christmas. I won’t be on tomorrow. We’re going to SoCal to get that time with family, that they so richly deserve!
BTW, I’ll be to your chimney about 3 a.m. your time!
Watch out for the raccoons!
A Duck Dynasty toque for Kristina,eh?
I happen to know for sure that Santa Claus is coming tonight. Click! Click! Click! And he knows who’s been naughty and who’s been nice. Based on what I know about Threedonia, there is going to be a coal shortage this month and the price will skyrocket … supply and demand …
That’s good, because I’ll have a lot of the supply tomorrow morning.
Big surprise, Silent Night during the ASPCA ad is heavy handed. Forgive if I could give two shits while Christians are dying across the Middle East.
Agreed. That and they are so concerned about pound puppies and yet allow/promote driving surgical scissors into the back of the skull of an unwanted newborn baby! Murdering bastards!
Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think the ASPCA has ever said anything one way or another about partial birth abortion or any kind of abortion for that matter.
I may be wrong but I think there just may be people who care about the plight of oppressed peoples around the world who also care about preventing animal cruelty. It’s not a one or the other thing…at least that’s the way I look at it.
I should have expanded that to cover the whole spread of liberal do-gooders. Didn’t mean to single out the ASPCA. My apologies.
I simply feel that there are priorities, or rather, should be.
It’s just the tone of the ad. I don’t really care I guess. Emotional manipulation rubs me the wrong way. With preachers too.
Scott, money and prayer. It’s all I got right now.
The commercial was on right before I wrote it and I had just read about a Syrian massacre of Christians, so I was a bit raw.
No offense intended and apologies if any was given.
They aren’t alone in their use of overwrought syrupy sentimentality in order to gain a buck. I find the parading around of wounded veterans in commercials in order to fund the Wounded Warrior Foundation horrible and abhorrent. I think they use these guys as props and I find it actually worse than the ads for the dogs and cats.
So I understand where you are coming from. I understand if you only had $5 to give you would spend it on something other than the ASPCA…and that is more than fine…and fully within your rights (at least for now )
Peace on earth, Good will to Dachshunds!
Oh,Floyd has to lash out at animals for some reason.Yawn.Tell us,my friend, exactly what you did for these Christians in the Middle East last year?
I’m going to adopt another dog this week, from a local kill shelter. I adopted my first dog from one, 5 years ago, a couple of days to this date.
That’s good Matt. I have a bunch of family who do that too. I’m a crank, so as I said, I meant no offense.
Doggy adoption is the coolest — so awesome to hear that, and God bless ya, MH!
Forehead’s roasting like an open fire,
Mucus dripping from my nose,
Ears are ringing with the sound of a choir,
That sounds like it’s screaming through a hose.
Everybody knows that chicken soup and orange juice,
Help my body to put up a fight.
Tiny spots in my eyes all aglow,
I’ll find it hard to sleep tonight.
To the ER I’m on my way;
I’m sure I got it at gaming the other day
And every sick mother [censored] that walked by,
I hope they [censored] off and…cry.
And so I’m offering this simple verse,
With a temperature of º100.2,
As I crawl back into bed, ’cause I’m feeling much worse,
A very Merry Christmas [aaaaachooo!]
Feel better, friend!
Floyd do look at the Winston comment before google caches it!
And with that the ancient and decrepit and the Comcasted bid all a good night.
